So ok folks i have just watched this British film and thought it was awesome. One of the best things was how the film was done on such a small budget for example there are numerous scenes of london landmarks with no-one in them at all. Now in America this would be done by hiring the street and closing it for a day or two, How does our famous Danny Boyle do it quite simply takes a digi cam and walks round the streets of london at 4am so all he had to contend with was Clubbers thus savign a small fortune.
I spose the point of the post is to get a little attention to some british films like this one, Dog soldiers and get a little of the hype that is lauded on American films.

British film making has taken a backseat since the Elying(sp) studios closed down with the glamorous big budget places in Hollywood taking all the stars and paying huge amounts of money to keep them. If we could rveolutionise our film industry like Bollywood that would be something though i think there are much more important things we could be doing with public money at the moment.

im not talking about making money as there is still many places used by American directors all across the U.K for film sets one of the most recent being Tomb raider 2 being filmed in wales and another that spring sto mind being ireland being used estensively for saving private ryan. I'm talkin about people trying to make a film more driven by the film script and story rather than a large budget

28 days later was class: the part with the car alarm going off was classic! - everyone in the cinema jumped at that!

i thought dog soldiers was awesome but for me the best bit was this
'i hope i give you the f*cking sh*ts'
that had some of the best lines i've ever seen in a film and its actually part of a trilogy believe it or not.

I adored 28 Days Later for its ability to disturb.

Scenes like the reminiscence of the 20,000 people at the airport, and the crayon picture of a child's father being shot, all awesome.

I wrote my 10,000 word film assignment on this film, and by god it was worth it just to understand the true depth of this movie.

I especially liked the un-american quality of it. "Oh s--t, Zombies! Quick, everybody break out the M16s from the closet and quash the invasion in approximately 30 seconds."

The infected were cool because they weren't invincible, slow, and lethargic, but fast, bloodthirsty, delerious killing machines capable of being killed by a quick blow to the head like a normal human being.
