I was recently told of a WD painting masterclass article you can now get off the main site, it covered how to paint an effective yellow colour. So here's my attempt at that yellow, as well as the green skin they'd painted which differs from usual skin paint scheme.

More WIP pics, I've just finished painting on the base coats for the various metals; Gold, Dark Metal and Brass. Lot more work to do on this bad boy.

ooh! love the goat head thingy.  Tip top.  Other than that, the yellow looks good.  There is enough to make me think AoBR boss, but enough different to show me how much work you've done.  I definately like it.

Looking good so far, I see you loot from the ogres box too. They do seem to have some pretty orky stuff for not orks. (you may remember my big choppas on my bikes are the swords from the ogres) I am appreciating the yellow, it is actually looking good. I also see your going for the fancy base, is this for a golden demon competition? Can't wait to see the finished model.

I really like the way the yellow is turning out.  I have seen this type of yellow used once in a Big Trakk and the result was awesome.   Great job keep up the good work.

Another update. I'm not entirely happy with how the dark metal came out, so I might redo parts.

Yellow's is usually a very hard colour to get right so good job! I've actually got that WD, shame I didn't remember it has that guide on yellow when I was painting the yellow on my Wave Serpent and Falcon Skin looks good too. If I were you, I'd add a small dot of Skull White to the upper left of the red lenses. It makes them look reflective, deeper and generally more realistic.
