Am considering making space marines my second army ... but don't really like any of the chapters/colour schemes so it'll have to be vanilla I think.

I would like a strongly martyr-themed chapter that uses no bikes and is rather ground based with a strong focus on librarians and chaplains.. considering using a white (shaded in gray) colour scheme and going for a sort of "emperor's faithful" feel.. the sort of chapter that gets thrown against faraway dangers like necrons and tyranids..

anyone like/hate the sound of that?

I had to get that out of my system!? Anyway, to me the Terminators make a marked contrast for my Dark Eldar to fight against. Yes, I do have battles by myself tho usually my mate comes with his ultramarines so I always end up playing my DE against him. I dont like marine vs marine (unless one side is chaos or something) but I'll risk it to take my new 1000point deathwing army to a local games night at the GW store in Sydney. See you all there, right?

I like the Termies cause they're just so D#$ HARD and they truly Rock! :D ;D

-having good specialised CC units AND good long range shooting units is just the point why SW don't get my respect!

BA do without a load of powerweapons, chainswords and boltpistols in every troop selection, or leman russ tanks and dev. squads that can target two units.

This is why Blood Angels rock! Oh and don't forget the great fluff! :)

I prefer my own fluff for my Pre-Heresy marines using only Rogue Trader era Marine Minatures (some would say the golden age of Games Workshop)  times were so much better back then... forty plastic marines available in one box, rhinoes available in boxes of three, and old land raiders came two to a box for only TEN dollars!.... sry to rant but i loved it when rogue trader was around... you newer guys just dont know what you missed at all  :'(
