2K points 3 detachments Aeldari, competitive.
« on: April 10, 2018, 11:49:18 AM »
Since the new Drukhari codex dropped I have been tinkering a bit on how to best abuse them, and have so far come up with this:

Drukhari patrol <Strife>:

Lelith Hesperax 85p
-Impaler.
5x Wyches 48p
-Shardnet & impaler, PGL.
in Raider 85p
-Darklance.

Ynnari battalion:

Yvraine [WotP, AG] 132p
Farseer [Guide, Doom] 100p
2x Warlock conclave [Quicken/Restrain, Protect/Jinx]60p

10x Kabalites <Black heart> 73p
-Splinter cannon, PGL.
in Raider <Black heart> 85p
-Darklance.
20x Wyches <Strife> 176p
-Shardnet & impaler,PGL, 2x razorflails.
20x Guardians <Ulthwé> 190p
-2x shuriken cannons.

9x Shining Spears <Saim-hann> 281p
-Star lance.

10x Dark Reapers <Biel-tan> 315p
-Tempest launcher.

Craftworlds Airwing <Alaitoc>:

Hemlock wraithfighter [Horrify] 210p
Crimson Hunter 160p
-2x brightlance.
Crimson Hunter 160p
-2x brightlance.

1980p
(8CP)

How can I fill this out to make it even nastier?

Are you locked into powers on the conclave, or can you change after seeing the opponent's list? If you are locked in, consider taking Protect/Jinx on one of them, in case you need to alpha strike down a Mortarion or something on turn 1 and need to weaken his invuln.

Keep an ear to the ground for the spring FAQ, which may make it so YNNARI units can no longer be targeted by non-YNNARI stratagems.

Are you starting your shining spears and dark reapers on the table? Do you anticipate having enough terrain to hide them behind on turn 1?

I think you forgot to pay for the guns on the raiders.

It also looks like your Hemlocks are too cheap. On a side note, I've found the Hemlocks tend not to benfit much from the Alaitoc attribute. You just have to get too close.

Aye. Forgot the spirit stones cost. They FAQ'ed that these into their wargear section IIRC.

The thing with Hemlocks is they don't really benefit from any craftworld. Alaitoc is still fine as it will still protect them if you don't go first, and protect them from slower longer ranged things you might not get that close to.

Thank you for the input. :)

I guess I should have looked through the list a bit more, but I wanted to throw out my general ideas.
I'm thinking darklances on the raiders, should make for some nice disco lights, even though I'd be happy to run the raiders without guns.
Swapping psychic powers is simple if there is a good argument for it, problem with protect/jinx for the conclave is one hemlock already has jinx, but since I'm running out of points, and considering swapping a hemlock for a hunter this should not be an issue.

Sprinkling some phantasm GL's should help opponents to flee right?
Extra special weapons for the Wyches and the Kabalites or keep them cheap?

Main reason for the conclave is to quicken the shining spears if needed, then die near Yvraine.

Guardians and Wyches should be able to wrap the shining spears and dark reapers, sure a Wave serpent would have been nice for the reapers, but what should I drop to get it, half of the guardians? I still thing this list provides several threats equal to the dark reapers. Alaitoc hemlocks is quite nice, because you can force the opponent to choose his/her poison, lower Ld or better to hit chance.
