its definately a thinker. any rule you want to change to make the game better. il leave it to you.

I would change the turn sequence.  I've been playing for years, but I still think it's silly that one player can win a single die roll and get three action phases at the start of the game before the other player can react.  ;)

Wrong Forum - should be in general 40k.

But for a rule... Gernades - I think GW needs to totally re-do how they work.

Right now there practically useless.

Yeah, I'd burn the The Trial Vehicle Rules, just to add more versatility to the game in general.

I'd revert the game to pre-Tau status, back when nothing was ever Cheezy, and 40K was a good, pure gaming experience...

Just one? Hmmm, so hard.

Turn sequence too.

Movement-players roll before hand player with highest wins, draw is re-rolled (unless a player went first last movement, then the other player goes first)
Shooting-Same
Assault-same

I know i can win games with my marines and nids on the first turn if i go first, it unfair.

1 rule eh?

....

I would change the turn sequence so that both players move before shooting, and both shoot before assualting (example, Player 1, whose turn it is, moves. Then Player 2 moves. Then Player 1 Shoots, then Player 2. Then PLayer 1 Assualts, then Player 2 Assualts. only 1 set off attacks per turn though).
People ask how come I play such a twisted army. I reply that I have the heart of a young boy; in a jar right next to his brain.

Yeah, definately, that system is much more interesting.  But you would have a hard time assaulting if you move forward, and then they move away from you.

I kind of like the Trial Vehicle rules. I miss being able to charge my banshees an ungodly distance, but it makes putting shooters in transports more of a winner. And I'd say that Guard, Orks, and Dark Eldar all needed the boast they got from those rules...

i think the "shoot the big ones rule" needs some work, it turns into the "shoot the genestealers"   maybe change it to: models can block line of site for models on the same size bases(except rippers) or something similar

ahhh.... I remember thoes days, seemed like just last year...- wait, it was last year.

The tau seemed to have corrupted the 40k experience.  I remember when they first came out, EVERYONE thought they were cheesey.  Now, its been that way with almost every new codex.  *(chaos, necrons)*

OMG, S 5 GUNS, THEY ARE SOO CHEEP.

says the boy with a 215 Chaos lord with to 4+ invulnerable saves in a row.

From the history books, it seemed like there was a point where to two biggest baddies were
1. Dark Eldar Lords
2. Bad Ass Monstrous Nids

How times change, the Nids aren't nearly as fearsome as they were once in terms of big baddies, though the DE Lord still hs to be one of the gayest objects in existence (though the new assualt rules trimmmed it down.)

The new vehicle rules are great as far as i am concerned.

Maybe taking armour saves before to wound rolls.

Arh amphetamine parrot i was hit and oh boy i can really feel my lungs collapse and my heart stop pumping blood. fortunatly my ceramite armour stopped it, so please reverse time a bit there and yes there we have it, while the bolt is still outside my stomach. Yes thats nice and realistic

Hmm, Just off the top of my head, I would eliminate the whole auto-pinning thing from the TVR. It's just too harsh when you combine it with the new dismount/assault rules - especially for those armies which can't withstand a turn of shooting while they just have to sit there.

actually the armour save after wounds makes sense...its not that its glancing off ur armour, its that once ur hit, the roll to wound is to see if it has hit any vital area's...but before the shot can do any damage u must see if it has penetrated ur armour...

same happens with kevlar, the bullet hits u in the chest, ur going to feel it...but chances are u wont die

I think saying you want to change rules that aren't even official is a waste of your time, really...

The only rule I would change is assaulting out of vehicles. I would allow it, but you would have to make a difficult terrain test to see how far you could move due to 'hustling' out of a vehicle. Open topped vehicles would not suffer this rule, as they are easy enough to jump out of.
