That's amazing. Those dips look great. I wish more than ever that I would have started my army with dipping. My life would be so much easier. Lol.

This is the very first Genestealer.  It's the beginning of my small Nid force.  It's a WIP at the moment, but it's a good example of the color scheme I'm aiming for.

I wanted something a bit more natural and simplistic.  The goal is a kind of desert/barren coloring.  Also, in needed to be easy to paint, otherwise I know that I will never finish painting the large number of units.  Now, I may add some more colorful details for the big bugs, since they aren't supposed to be sneaky like the Stealers.

A little update on my progress with hive fleet Nyarlathotep. I finished my Gargoyles (right before the plastic ones will come out.....what the hell...), all Hormagaunts and almost all of my Termagants and Spinegaunts. I am looking forward to the release of more bugs and especially the trygon:) There's still a huge amount of work before me....but hey, it's part of the fun:) Enjoy

If you can keep up that standard, your army will look great on the table  :)

Very nice model, just like i would imagine a tyrannofex.

Maybe i will start a conversion too, but i still have hope of GW releasing another carnifex/tyrannofex/tervigon kit, just like they did with the different baneblade variants.

It's always nice to have your own versions sitting alongside them though ain't it?

Nice Tyrannofex, as has been said. The smooth join between the guns is fantastic.

For those who are not sure what I did.  the Rupture cannon is built from the front end of two barbed stranglers with the bottom one inverted.  These are joined using GS.  The rear of the gun is molded in a quarter circle and is only as thick at the bottom as the gun.  The ribs have been extended to make the whole thing look as if it is an extention of the ribcage.
Again the whole rear of the gun is modeled from GS.

For those who have really been paying attention you may have noted that I have done a completely new paint job.  This is extended over my whole army!   I will publish some pics soon.

I was supposed to post a pic from my army, but instead, I started repainting it.

Basically I'm painting all that was black to bone, all eyes black with white gleam, and all poison blue instead of old green.

Now done all multiwound models exept MC:s.

Here's a warrior to demonstrate.

First of wicked kick #$@ conversion!!

Second, don't think they'll be redoing the carnifex sprues.
Look at the Mawloc/Trygon model, it's so much bigger then a carni...and i think we'll be seeing a Tervigon/Tyronnofex model probably..Carni size just doesn't fit the stats, especially the wounds.

PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ Marikar:

I love it!  I was considering doing the same thing with one of my Sniper Fex's, although I was considering doubling a pair of Venom Cannons.  Now that you finished the model, do you think Venom Cannons would work out or should I use the Barb Stranglers like you did?

I picture from an underside view of him would be great!!  A better pic of the gun itself would be a real help!

For Master Titan and others,
some close up shots of the cannon from below.   Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures since lighting the model was difficult.

YES!!!!  Freakin awesome dude!  I love it!  I should be starting my conversions sometime next week including a Tervigon or two, a Swarm Lord, and a Terragon similar to yours.  You don't by chance have pictures of it before painting do you?  I know, I'm so demanding! ;D
