What an amazing collection Myen'Tal!
I am also impressed with your pace. Nice dedication. Am jealous of your time. Your color combos are high level... Pointy ears forever!!

Thank you, Saim-Dann, and welcome to my thread! Really stoked to hear such praise from you, as you're quite a master of the brush if I recall correctly! Thanks again!

Indeed, pointy ears for life!

So I have an interesting conundrum at the moment... someone I've met happens to be selling a beautiful Ulthwe' force. It's about 2000+ points, for about $350.

Should I pick it up as a core to add onto, or invest in Sisters at a later date?

Oh my. Hard to say. If you have a sizable Eldar army now, I'd go sisters.

Do you think you'll able to copy the scheme if you decide to add to the later? Personally I'd dislike it if my new units would not 'match' the ones I already had colour wise.

But it does sound like a good deal

Don't have any eldar at the moment, and the collection, while 2000 points, will definitely need some additions to suit what I want to do  :).

I asked him for his recipe on the Ulthwe' black and bone, but aside from that, I'm alright with taking liberties ;D. So long as they look cohesive as a whole.

It does sound like a great deal. Pointy ears rock. I've played them since 2nd ed, do love mine but because I have that I'm now building another sisters army. So follow your heart, err um, wallet.

The eldar lot looks nicely painted: a fair deal for sure.

Those riders are great, but the skin of those eels is stealing the show :)

Also; Yay for more Eldar!

What is the yellowy brown colour on his pants?

Thanks, guys! I'm quite proud of this Akhelian, he almost looks like those hollywood versions of Achilles or Hector in Troy lol.

Snakebite Leather Contrast Paint

Those riders are great, but the skin of those eels is stealing the show :)

Also; Yay for more Eldar!

I think I'm figuring out some neat tricks, which I thought I wouldn't pull off without an airbrush.

Speaking of airbrushing... maybe time to reinvest for me. I'm starting to learn some tips from paint masters in my area, so we'll see.

Thanks, Mage!

The Akhelians so far are about 90% finished. I still need complete their skin and leather harnesses, maybe some other minor details.

Glad you like red on the banner! Just thought I'd add that in there.

Just a quick update. Just received a massive order from Greenstuff World. Lots of paints, basing materials, etc!

cool! that cloak looks really wet.

How are you finding the GSW paints? I've had a look at them but have yet to order some.

That's because it was still drying, ha-ha!

I'm actually liking the GSW paints quite a bit. The metallics and candy inks are pretty nifty, and probably will shine even more so when I start the airbrush back up again. The regular paint line is actually very enjoyable to use as well.

I think I shall pick up more in the future!
