Their is nothing wrong with a destroyer army, in fact I love destroyers.
However, it is expensive, and you do have to watch your PO limit as the squads aren't that big with a few unlucky roles they could be taken out easily.
Take away the veil from the lord i would say and stick in a Destroyer lord if you are going for a destroyer army, but it looks very interesting so i would like to know how it plays :)

We're nothing like God. Not only are our powers limited, sometimes we're forced to play the Devil.

I'd drop the VOD and warscythe and get a destroyer body instead (he can stay with the warriors and the destroyers :))

I'd also split 1 of the heavy d squads into 2 squads of 1 (just keep them within 6") this is so you don't have to wory about running due to casualties, waste opponents firepower, gets you one more squad to deploy saving your larger destoryer squads for later

My suggestions  :)

Why the Warscythe? you do not want to be in cc at all!
the rest is OK

i cant decide on 1 of three lists

Deceiver
20 troops
15 destroyers
4 fayed ones
--------------
Lord Orb,NMS
20 troops
15 destroyers
1 monolith
--------------
Deceiver
20 troops
5 flayed ones
10 Destroyers
monolith

i will be going to Bristol vanquish and the WPS-CC
it would suck if we played each other

Im liking all the destroyers. Nids would get hugely []WN3D but look out for armies with swarms of MEQs especially other necrons becuase you dont have enogh AP2 weps. the volume of shots would give you a chance though. I would add some wraiths instead of a few destroyers because you could assault those pesky crisis suits or whatever that would give your destroyers a run for their money at range.

Insurence.  You don't want to be caught out against massed AV14 or invulnerable saves, so having a (relatively cheap) super-weapon that can walk all over these things is useful.

Plus you don't have to use it if the situation doesn't call for it.

+1.
This is one - that i would change. The rest - is the best roster of Destroyer limit. No change anything else.

Destroyer Lord is a less effectively, than your.

Warscythe is noly 10 pts and you get  a longer range shooting attack (as well as ignoring invulnerables etc...) surley thats worth it even in a shooty army. The staff of light has a shorter range anyway so you use it and your far more likely to get charged and its not as good as the warscythe in CC so you would want the warscythe if you were expecting to get charged but it has lorger range so you won't... Weird that...

Actually, he doesn't get a shooting attack.  Only the Warscythes carried by Pariahs have a built in Gauss Blaster, the one Lords have access to is bare.

Really? I thought the green gauss rod in the warscythe was the shooting attack. And he can shoot in dawn of war, that reflects 40k. I was always under the impression that he could too. if what you say is true than the staff of light may be better, as you still get a power wep for CC...
