Title: Why not a Fireblade with Pathfinders?
Post by: Siege_TF on June 18, 2013, 08:03:25 PM
I've been reviewing a lot of lists on the net (including here) and I'm not seeing Cadre Fireblades with Pathfinder teams to take advantage of Split Fire. I can't for the life of me figure out why though... A big ten-man(Tau? whatever) team with four marker drones that's... six or seven Markerlight hits, more than enough to ensure the overkill of a single unit that's not like a gorillian Orks. But more often I see multiple smaller teams of Pathfinders, and/or Markerlights being sprinkled around the rest of the army.

Any clarifications I can get on this would be helpful.

P.S.
I'm back, flee while you can!

Split Fire as per the rules on page 42 BRB
Quote
...one model in the unit can shoot at a different target...
So I don't see how that is any better to 2 or more smaller makerlight sources.

And welcome back!!!

Space Wolf Long Fangs are different, their special rule is Fire Control (pg 28 SW codex) where they can fire at TWO different targets.

*Petty and derogatory sentiments directed towards the Space Wolves, and Marines in general*

I mean... thank you for your swift and insightful replies.
