The nearest independent retailer is about an hour's drive east in Grande Prarie. Which sucks if one has neither a license or a vehicle.
Especially if this same person lives in a 'blink and you'll miss it' size community.

I live in Alberta too, but I've never heard of Valhalla Centre. I'm at Cold Lake. Right along the Alberta/Saskatchewan border. Military community, Air Force base. No independant retailers here anymore. We had one, then, of course, when I wanted to get into the hobby they closed. Nearest is probably a half hour away to Bonnyville, but I never looked.
