How are you taking obliterators, landraide and defiler? They are not options in the warband. Also, you have no auxiliary selections to get the benefit of the death guard detachment of formations.

2500pts is an odd number, is that the usual size you play at?

If you're going to take the pkauge colony, I would max out on the plauge marine squads for for -1 enemy toughness bonus, otherwise, chaos Marines in the chaos warband with deathguard make better plauge Marines.

Interesting, hard to gauge what'll work in that size of game. I'm used to playing 1850 or less. It keeps games from going too long, and I mostly play in tournaments.

Looks better. Keep in mind, you're taking two core choices, so you'll need two auxiliary to make your list legal.

I would drop the plauge Marines to five man squads, and try to get seven units in that formation to unlock all the benefits of that formation, otherwise, I'd drop the plauge colony and take more chaos Marines in the warband.

Also, all your models have relentless, so It'd drop the chaos Marines to five man units, and try to take some havocs with missile launchers, or autocannons.

I think you should use either the plauge colony, or the warband. It's hard to split points and not take full advantage of either formation. If you want to use the plauge colony, I'd max out the number of units (seven, pluss the character), and then take either the terminator aniliation force, or a raptor talon. Those two formations are very good, and super tough as death guard.

If you still want the bike Lord, you can either take him in the colony, and use typhus in the aniliation force, or take him as a command slot. Either way, I'd stick him with a unit of spawn.

I love the model selection for your army... it'll feel like a grinding legion of Chaos Space Marines marching to war... but my only concern is the lack of anti-tank. Only the Hellbrute and the Attack Bikes with 2x melta factor into ranged anti-tank... with the Termies and powerfists factoring in for melee anti-tank (unless I'm missing something).

You've got tons of anti-infantry via the Plague Marines, CSM's and even the Termies. You could swap out the flamers for combi-meltas on the Terminators or perhaps you could drop the Helldrakes and get some Maulerfiends in there for close-ranged anti-tank?

They'd operate well with the rest of your army as you move everything up the field to within 24-12" then can you can release the hounds so to speak...

My only concern would be running into some serious armor at 2500pts... Just my thoughts, but perhaps you have an idea of what you'll be facing. Let us know!

Thanks again for the help. One of the reasons my list is very infantry focused is that I will be going against by buddy's Death Watch army. Which is mostly marines on foot and a pair of dreads. I dropped the war band detachment modifier and turned it into a simple CAD. As Killersquid said to drop the numbers of PM and CSM and used the points to put into a heavy support section.

Death Guard 2500

HQ-
Plague  Colony-1032
Typhus-240

7x Plague  marine-w/ rhino 2x plamsa gunners,VOLW PF
7x Plague marine w/ rhino 2x plamsa gunners,VOLW PF

Chaos CAD -1468

Oh ok! Going up against Deathwatch.... Hold on to your butt, Deathwatch are tough. One of the most tense, back and forth games I've ever had was against Deathwatch. This list should do really well though. You gotta a lot of bodies, a lot of specialist tools spread out across the army too. I like the presence of the Land Raider at 2500pts too, just get ready to reserve it if he's got drop-melta. Armor 14 can throw you for a loop when you aren't expecting it.

Should be a really nice looking spread of units when all put on the table too. Good luck man and let us know how you do regardless of what list you take.

BTW your Avatar is awesome! Is that from Dark Forces? I love that game!

Really like that last list although agreed with Cav that you are going to need to be careful with the Deathwatch Alpha strike. If he is drop podding in they really can hit very hard on the turn they drop in and you don't really have the speed to outmaneuver them after they drop.
Personally I probably would drop the Land Raider and bring back a Helldrake but that's just because I love the things!
Good luck and please let us know how you do!
