I posted a thread about this before. Basically, what I got was that we have a couple cheezy tricks now and that we used to be very cheezy in the past.  People hate elves and their space-faring coutnerparts for some reason sometimes and they hate all of our special rules and rerolls.  They complain about all these powerful things we get.  Sometimes, they think we're more powerful than we really are because eldar tend to be less forgiving and thus the players who use them tend to learn not to make as many mistakes.  If they do this to you too often, just hand them your list, let them play your army against their for a game, and show them how they should've gone about beating you.

Speaking as someone who plays against eldar not with them.
I think the eldar still have a very usable codex but I wouldn't say much they have is cheesey.
Seercouncil are T3 with a 4+ not really very tougth even if they get a re-roll, and they don't have power weapons.
Holo-field falcons are hard to put down but often spend most of the game not able to shot, and hey BS3 :-\

The only thing that I get really annoyed about when playing against them is the runes of warding (think thats the one) that messes with enemy psychic powers.
I usually don't even try the powers I have as I'm more likely to hurt myself than actually cast the power, seems a little OP but eldar are the masters of the mind so  :-X

On a slightly different note my play group usually uses general all round lists not tailoring against specific armies.
With the eldar having the most specialised units I can see the possibility that some people would call cheese if the eldar army has been totally tailored against them as eldar are very good at very particular jobs.

Hate to bring up an old topic but I am just looking for some real dirty cheese tricks to play on some real annoying players in my gaming club. I did try the avatar and wraithlords trick and it worked pretty good. Avatar died but it got charged by PF Chaos termies. At least he took down a few termies before getting killed.  :-\

Mech eldar with a mounted seer council is possibly the most powerful form of eldar right now.  Or take Eldrad + Yriel in a squad of something (possible a seer council.)  DAVU Falcons can also be pretty cheezy.  Swooping Hawks that yo-yo is cheezy but not terribly effective.  Eldar don't have much in the way of god combos these days.
