« on: March 22, 2004, 05:21:35 PM »
hi there

So the TVR has been in circulation for sometime now and I belive is being accepted in some tournments. I was wondering how people have adpted to new rules, have you had to make major changes to your army compsition? how is your gaming group changing as a whole? any thoughts on the TVR are welcome.

cheers,

stewart

I suggest you change the name of your thread; as it implys you want us to post up the TVR for you.

Anyway, I play Dark eldar (mainly), so all I've had to do is laugh while my opponent whines about his crapifyed rhinos.  Other than that, my tank company is smiling...heh

Hey! I know!  Let's focus on building army lists, instead of silly custom titles and command structures, yeah?

From the days of the doctorines.
RIP-Goyder, Koonitz, and Jenkins.  Honour them.

Armies:
ORDER: Elysians 2k5, Armored battlegroup 2k5, Infantry Guard 2k, Dark Angles 4k5, Grey Knights 2k
DISORDER: Chaos 3k, Daemons 2k Dark Eldar 2k5, Nids 2k, Orks 2k5
I'm both proud and ashamed of those numbers...

I don't care about TVR, and my local club don't use them (horribly unbalanced... save for stopping the Rhino Rush).

Was a General of the Imperial Guard, now more of a freelance Captain sort of thing. Ish. Keeping the rank pins though, they look nice.

I've been playing with TVR for a while now and found them okay, auto pinning is a bit of a pain but the defensive weapons rules are brillant IMO it stop tanks being just static pill-boxs.

Gw are also reprinting the rule book with the new trial rules inside, there advetisements and stickers on all the old rulebooks telling people the new rule book is coming out in June.

Well I don't rush my rhinos anymore. so I can't complain. I'm not really sure about the rules for shooty tanks because I just got a landraider and other than that I had just had transports.
