This is my WIP entry for the Saint Snik Comp. The subject of my entry is Saint Snik, and if I have the time his Grots of Giving.

Man that is a lot of green stuff! Looks good 8)
Will you also be adding a green stuff beard to saint Snik?
-
can't wait to see how this ends up!
Love the jacket on the nob.
-
Knob in Trenchcoat = WIN
Seriously good idea, and well executed so far; just be sure to fill in and smooth out the gaps (or make little stitch marks).
Cheers

So I take it you know how I did it?
Filled in the gaps last night. A long way still to go though.

I definately like the coat great very smooth green stuff work. Definately a good job can't wait to see what you do with the elves.
-
So I take it you know how I did it?
Not 100% but rollling out the GreenStuff to one nice big flat panel would be a really good way to start. letting it air cure a while, then cutting and fitting out panels and placing them over the knob with the wax paper still attached would be a good second step. Letting it dry/cure a little (possibly 40W bulb and a tin can for 5-8 minutes) would be a good third step. Removing that Wax paper in preparation to gap fill etc and to hide the evidence would put you in prime location for the picture.
Anyway, I am sure that you did it in a slightly different fasion; but somewhere along those lines.
I wanna see the front next time, and he better have the big ass laples shaped out on the front of that trenchcoat, etc, etc. (JK)
Cheers

Ok got an update for you lot. There's still alot of work to do including smoothing over the greenstuff hood (and his right arm where it joins the body), as well as finish the bag over his shoulder. Then comes the fur edges...

Well, do I have an update or what.
For a first time attempt at fur I think I've not done too bad.

Still some extra smoothing to be done and I can get on with painting Snik.
Next comes the sack of explosives over Snik's shoulder. The join between green stuff jobs needs some smoothing to be done on it too.
(https://www.40konline.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi702.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fww24%2FDropfallPics%2FPC180701.jpg&hash=5bbf3aae38de1d2401be08a50898b7f0ff530af7)
And for a comparison with Snik. Yes, its that big; what do you think the marble was for?

Looking good! You have way more patience with green stuff than I do, and the fur looks convincing.
Can't wait to see the painted version, 8)
-
It's so smooth. So fluffly. What are you going to do for his reindeer?
-
don't forget to leave us a tutorial on how you did the fur! I've yet to play around with green stuff, but this komp is going to force me to learn!
-
I thought I'd re-post these pics of my finished entry here for those who don't get to the Ork forum often.

Man o man that looks good. Great work, you may want to save it and enter into the next nearest golden deamon competition as it looks that good.
Now excuse me, I must go into my corner and sulk because I didn't think of something this cool myself. (https://www.40konline.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi666.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv27%2FRalston1%2FMadSmiley.jpg&hash=0a62dde064808fb73b0cfdb852c9eb5165c66518)

I second that. The blood work in the snow,...it's just amazing.
