Rules for Mega Battles
« on: June 20, 2003, 04:56:56 PM »
I was just thinking of some house rules for large* megabattles.

Players must designate individual opponents (like in most other sports, eg basketball/hockey), to be called a "target."  Each player may have only one "Target," and only gets Victory points for units they kill, belonging to the target.  VP can not be gained from destroying units belonging to players other than the target.  when a target is destroyed, the Player selects a new target, which must be largest opposing army.

I just kinda thought that up, cause my friends and i constantly play huge battles, so we have a habit of focusing ALL the fire power from like 4+ armies on one player, each and every round, so we don't have to deal with a bright/darklances, over assaulty nids, and the like.  it makes for a boring game, especially when you get wasted on round 1.  you could use the above rule if you have multiple detachments, too.  You just have be carfull about picking targets, once we put Tau vs Tau, they did NOTHING the whole game.  they just sat there, out of range of eachother.  or Nids VS Nids, that was halarious!

What do you guys think?

Hey! I know!  Let's focus on building army lists, instead of silly custom titles and command structures, yeah?

From the days of the doctorines.
RIP-Goyder, Koonitz, and Jenkins.  Honour them.

Armies:
ORDER: Elysians 2k5, Armored battlegroup 2k5, Infantry Guard 2k, Dark Angles 4k5, Grey Knights 2k
DISORDER: Chaos 3k, Daemons 2k Dark Eldar 2k5, Nids 2k, Orks 2k5
I'm both proud and ashamed of those numbers...
