Not complaining, but how long does it take for a reply to the PM? I sent mine ages ago, haven't gotten confirmation yet.

It shouldn't take that long. Perhaps it slipped his mind. Could you please send it again, with a copy to me?

Cheers

Oops, sorry. I have just moved house and have not got my broadband connected yet (should be sorted in the next few days) so things are getting a bit behind. I am just checking this on the sly from work so I can't really do a full reply to you, but don't worry, you have not been forgotten.

I just PM'ed asking to be added to the team.  I've got a fair few ideas stewing in my head, such as merging the 2nd and 4th edition cover rules (including special rules for Orks), improved Space Marines (though they'll receive a major points increase), a new AP system and a few other things that came to me recently.

I look forward to showing off my ideas in more detail.

Can I have a quick update on where the project is currently at? I've just dug through my old 40k stuff and found my Dark Millenium box, it appears to be complete although i've not had the chance to line everything up and count so if nothing else I should be able to provide an additional reference service. The only interloper appears to be an unopened blister of the concept necron model that was given away free with WD back in the day. I'm also a big fan of "non-standard" 40k gaming including, but not limited to; Unequal point battles, unequal mission battles and campaigns for two or more players. I am also very good when working with numbers, although pure statistical analysis (degree level) is not my forte I do have a good grounding in it and would be willing to work towards a system that allows the creation of special characters or races based in part on the original RT creation system.

If the project is still at a stage where I can help i'll forward examples of work etc. to SFS.

Hey mate, wats up

A mate of mine, called i think tyranid wannabie, him and myself have been playing 40k together for quite a while, and we have found as we go along over the last 5 years, that the game rules are a bit stupid in some areas, rich in others, and really aren't all that strategic in many cases! We have also found that in most cases, the most strategy involved is deciding who to shoot, where to deploy your army, and how to use cover, and of course, picking the best kinda army u can!

Now, I hate these kind of games. Im an RTS player of pc games, and I luv the game dawn of war: Dark crusade. Im on the border of the top 1v1 players in the world, and I can say from that game, and 40k TT, there is a lot of imbalance, and I can't stand it. So I'm currently working on balance mods for it. And just like this, I would like to get more out of my games rather then just gettin rediculously lucky roles and my spammy super weapons!

I would love to help u guys on ur project. Yes I am wiling to play test. I am willing to work as a team (nothing gets done if u dont ;) ) and most of all, I want to help u guys make this game from the potensial spam wars it is into something like chess: u actually have to play strategically the whole game! And its not the player with the best army, or the best starting point, or the shooties weapons, or the sliciest leaders, that win, but the player that out plays the other.

Could I help out?
Cheers

hey im new and dont realy think i have enough experiance/time/good grammer

though i'de like to through out an idea for you guys to work on :D
i was always woundering why GW had used grenades as a CC modifier than a weapon. i mean if you throw a grenade, it usualy makes a bloody mess right?
maybe it's just me but i think it would be cool to see rules for throughing frag grenades ;D (or not  :-\ )
maybe ill toss out another idea or to but i cant join the team (ill not be availible enough :-[ sry)

Grenades were thrown in previous editions of 40K, but the quest for simplification has stripped out interesting rules like this. Remember that you can use frag grenades against vehicles still....

Don't know what good using frag grenades against a vehicle is, though.

Don't know what good using frag grenades against a vehicle is, though.

Well, if you are strength 3 it gives you a chance to damage light skimmers in assault eg. IG without special weapons.
