My Doombringer space marine always Work in progress
« on: June 8, 2008, 06:45:32 AM »
I thought to post my constant work in progress my Doombringer space marine army.
Most of my figures have paint on it, but i have the nasty habit to start painting lose interest then start on other figures, so most of them need corrections or finishing touches forgive me my lazyness.(fixed some broken links).

Things i currently work on pointy hats and some marines from the maccrage set.

Librarian and masters (still not finished)

My Terminators (with different weapon options)

My chaplain with jumpack and my chaplain & librarian terminators (the 2 most close to finishing)

my dreadnoughts (the warmachine ones in the back were used when i did not have GW ones)

Devestators (modern types)

Devestators (old types)
RT marine with shoulder mounted Heavy Bolter, 2nd edition plastic missile launcer and current marine with RT metal multi melta

Old metal captain figure(with "small" sword) and 2 old type terminators (one foot got damaged getting it of the small base)

My techmarine (also not finished yet

My retro scouts (small conversions here and there so they do not look completly alike)

Another Chaplain (and some scout sargeants, the chaplains backpack has been modified)

Double Veterans

Tripple Veterans

More Veterans

RT Marines

Jumppack marines

Close combat marines

Command figures

Previous editions Plastics

My water wading marines (cheap solution)

My Rhino (first attempt at stripping)

Whirlwind option

interior

My landraider

interior

and my predator

...keep up the good work.

did a little painting

The right marine pointy head was greenstuffed also the left shoulder pad was modified to resemble a pre-heresy shoulder pad (made from old shoulderpad which are thicker than the new ones).

the kneeling marine has a partly greenstuffed Head, left arm is an chaos arm. And one marine has a spike from the chaos rino sprue

I tried to make a pre heresy terminator from the "free" terminator given with the white dwarf

the shoulderpads are a little too big (let's say it's a macho thing)

added mouth guard

and leather straps under the pads

The predator and dread are awesome.  You should get a couple more of them.  :P

I like the color scheme on the marines, but the paint looks really thick.  The whites especially, you may want to thin out your paints and do a series of light coats.  It takes several times as long, but should look better.
