The Septs of the Empire

Orignally created by VanityKiller and Swampy Turtle, "The Septs of the Empire" is a Tau Empire community project geared towards the positive and proactive discussion of all things Tau with the ultimate aim of resulting in the creation of an involving and thriving Tau Chain of Command (CoC) and to promote interest in events and discussions around the Empire.

What is Septs of the Empire?

Septs of the Empire is about generating interest and activity on the Tau board. Whether you are new to Tau or 40KOnline, or whether you are a seasoned Tau veteran, there is something for you here and more importantly there is always some way that you can contribute. This thread is like a one stop shop for many of questions or queries, or even if you just want some inspiration for your latest project.

The activity generated will hopefully help propell the Tau Board into a thriving area of 40KOnline, and warrant the implementation of things like a CoC and separate Tau Army List Board.

As the name suggests, here you will find sample army lists from the wide range of Tau posters. Each list is grouped into batches based on army size and this should be able to help you find a list for you to try, expand on or adapt to suit your own style. Rated by oink (when he gets the chance), you will probably want to read through what he looks for in a list!


Tarrins Challenge

Below you will find links to our very own Tarrins' personal challenge to all Tau commanders. In this series you will be pushed to try out new army builds including units that may feel alien to you. The aim is to share the lessons learnt and improve our own ability. Things we are looking for:

Background (AKA "Fluff"):

Good fluff to say. We want to create a central location where everyone can link to, or post their own cadre background and development. Whether you made it yourself, or just took the name and colors of a GW one and ran with it, post about it overhere.


Army Tactics:

Not to be confused with the unit tactics idea, this would be more of an entire army tactics idea.  Units that you should take, and how to use them.  Got a great idea for the Farsight Bomb?  Post it up.  Also, any Army Lists that work specifically to make Ninja, gunline, or anything like that more effective can go there.

Articles:

Articles differ from the Tautica discussions in that they are less about the to-ing and fro-ing and more about the detailed explanation of the subject. Exceptional articles will ultimately find their way onto the 40KOnline Articles section!

Workings of the Earth Caste: 

Got a great conversion or tutorial for painting?  Let us know and we'll make a place for it.
