  • Like my new headshot???
    • Me, acting.
I need to figure out my Eldar, and get some practice in (I've only painted Harlequins in the last 5 years, all in August.)

So:

16 x Guardians (waiting for Hvy Wpn Platform with box)

Have to see if I can pull of a Green and Red theme without looking like Santa's Space Helpers Craftworld.
There = a location
They're = short for 'They are'
Their = possessive for third person plural ('it belongs to them')

Well I have all 2k points worth of Tau Built. Took me about 10 days and my thumb is all cut to hell. So no more building or painting for a few days as I can't do either really well with a bandaid on....

How do you cut your thumb cutting out plastic?
Man: Er... excuse me?
FMG: Yes? I am a doctor, you know.
Man: I was just wondering...
FMG: Get on with it. I'm a Doctor. My time is precious.
Man: Well, it's just...
FMG: My god, man, do you even know what that word means? Let me spell it out: D O C T OR. 6 years of medical school. A PhD.
Man: Look I really...
FMG: I'm the person who makes this whole hospital work...
Man; Look mate, you're  going to have to give me 50p for that paper or get out.

It's easy. When trimming you hold the piece and you cut towards your thumb. Now this isn't hard, nor a hard cut but when you do it about 5,000 times while making sure your mold lines and iddy bits are clean well you eventaully wear down the skin there :p

34 Firewarriors, 5 battlesuits, 6 stealthsuits, 12 kroot, 20 something drones, 3 pirahanas, 2 devilfish and 2 hammerheads. well that is a lot of cleaning ;)

Vows updated.

We now have whopping 23 vows in, mostly eldar (*cough* new codex *cough*), which I believe is a record for this thread. 2 days left to vow.

I, however, am making so little progress that I have downgraded my vow to a haemonculus and 5 incubi. How long can it take to paint 5 guys decked head to toe in black armour? I'll do the raider squad if and when I finish my vowed minis.

Not to mention sales on the models that are being redone.

Anyways, I've built my Avengers, and starting priming, but ran out of spray paint.  On the three that I finished priming, I got the body & helmets done.  Started the tabards as well.

Okay, I'm geting cold feet, and the time to get cold feet is when there is still time to change your vow. I vow to get 3 Swooping Hawks done, and the Exarch, but not the Falcon (the more I do of that Falcon, the more afraid I am of doing something wrong).

just figured out that I will not be using my old reapers sooooo I should edit my vow while I still can, I will instead of my old vow paint 5 eldar guardians, 2 support platforms (with crew if I have time), and a warlock.

Okay, so I started my Wardancers (finally) but all I did was prime them and start the first layer of flesh.  Shame, but I should get more time in this week.
Space Marines: 2000 pts.
Eldar: 1000 pts.

Wood Elves: 3000 pts.

3 Avengers done, 4 more to go.  I've decided to not put on the tabards after many battles with keeping them glued on.

Unfortunately, my spray paint died on me, so I need to go get more.  Hopefully tomorrow I can get some spray paint, and if the weather warms up a little, I may be able to be done by the end of the week.

Lets see. So far I've nearly finished 2 Destroyers and I'm working on the 3rd! It's not the usual 'Spray Silver' Necrons though; Mine are slightly camp and have a preference for Purple!  ;D

Seraph

The seraph is the one on the rock.  The picture is towards the bottom.  The other seraph is from last month.

Vows updated and locked.

So, 25 in this month, one completed so far (well done Chaplain Harlean).

I've finally managed to make a start on mine, done the helmets on the incubi and started on the haemonculous. I'll get more done today, as my kids are away. Might even get a game in (first game with the dark eldar, probably vs my bro's DH, first game at all in 3 months actually). Maybe post some wips later.

the right arm:

and the back:

what do you think?
First come the smiles.

Then lies,

Last is gunfire.
