Eldar Apoc friendly.
« on: July 9, 2016, 09:19:34 AM »
So my LGS is trying to kick off an Apoc event at the end of the month. It is being done as a very lose friendly type games, no formations, just the base codex rules for each unit (no formations).

While there is no point rstriction, the team must be able to finish its turn in about an hour. Hopefully enough players to fit across all 3 tables.

No idea what I might be up against either, so lets see if you can poke some holes in this list for me:
*reserves.

HQ
Autarch Jetbike, reaper launcher - Joins Windriders
Fareseer Jetbike, Phoenix gem (no point cap to worry about soo why not) - Join Windriders
Jain Zar
Karandras

Troops
4 x 3 Man Windrider with Scatlasers - With the amount of other stuff to shoot at thee guys will hopefully be reasonably safe to hang back and annoy things and take objectives if needed.

Elites
*6 x FD in Falcon (Cloud Strike) - Shuriken Cannon, BL, Holo-fields, SS, Star engines (no points cap so why not load up on the extras :)

10 x HB with Exarch (Mirror swords) in a WaveS Scatlasers, Holo-fields, SS, Star engines and Jain Zar.

10 x SS with Exarch (Chainsabers), with Karandras.

5 x Wraithblades with Axes and Shield in WaveS Scatlasers, Holo-fields, SS, Star engines

5 x Wraithguard with D-scythe in WaveS Scatlasers, Holo-fields, SStones, Star engines

Fast Attack
*Crimson Hunter Exarch
*Nightwing with Holo-fields
*Phoenix Bomber with Holo-fields
*2 x 2 Hornets with Pulse Lasers, Holo-fields, SStones.

Heavy Support
*2 x 6 Dark Reapers - Starshot + Exarch In Falcons (Cloud Strike) - Shuriken Cannon, BL, Holo-fields, SStones, Star engines
*Lynx - Holo-fields, SStones, Star engines
Warp hunter - Holo-fields, SStones, Star engines

Lords of War
*Revenant Titan with dual Pulsars
WraithKnight - Ghostglaive Scattershield or maybe suncannon?

I'm also thinking I might want to swap:
The HB+Jain Zar over to Dire Avengers+Asurman
Wraithblades for standard Wraithguard

As assault units require a 2 turn setup comming out of WaveS, there might be enough firepower to rip them off the table in a single turn.

I think there is enough heavy weapons if someone brings an uber titan.

Well, it looks like a good list.
Personally I would think about doing something with the scatterbikes. I prefer to have 4-5 bikes in a unit and I like an even mix of scatter and shurikencannon (just because).
Also I think that there should be some Avengers in the troops section.
The only other thing is the Wraithguard with Scythes. I'm not sure if I wouldn't just drop them for more serpents..
It looks as thou you are going with a Biel-Tan theme. So I say make it 2 units of bikes and 2 units of Avengers. The rest is fine.
sure you have an opinion,
but my swordplay is better than your´s

Take my advice, I never use it.

Love it, love it, love it! That is one sick army. Your colour scheme looks fantastic in a group shot and I love that you've got not one, but two Phoenix Lords. That looks like it's going to be an epic battle. Be sure to take pictures of the battle.
