Well, here's a picture of something I got done today...it's my first time painting miniatures, not to mention the first time photographing miniatures (with my dad's digi cam woo!) so the quality of the models and photo might not be that great...It's the in progress picture of my Fire Warriors, got some of the basecoat done. Plus some gun drones.

Cheers!

Final WIP for the day. Amazing what I can get done when the wife goes to see Harry Potter and then goes to bed early :) The base purple (my army's main color) is down on all the figures, and I got everyone who was on a plain base drilled and pinned for attachment to their resin bases. Plus, I got some work done on a Reaper fig for one of the players in my D&D campaign (far left). My goal for tomorrow is to get everyone attached to their final base and to highlight and wash the purple basecoat.

EternalNovice - good job on both the paint and the pics, well done for a first-timer.

Finishing the bases took me a day longer than I'd hoped (this is why we have a month to do the unit I guess). Everyone is pinned & glued in place and ready to get back to painting the figures. The Blood Angels helmet beneath the foot of the Exarch is in commemeration of the first battle my Eldar army won.

Tomorrow, back to painting armor undercoats, it's time for highlight and wash.

I like your colors -- very aquatic. Maybe grab a heroclix Submariner figure and use him for an Avatar :)

Whoa, very unique scheme there dun-rite, I like it alot...

I finished another two Fire Warriors, no point in pics though, it's just another two guys with a basing of Vermin Brown on their armour...I think I'll be able to nab the Vomit Brown on Saturday...if not, then Sunday.

Ok, we're a quarter of the way through the first month. It would be cool to see some more WIP pics from people who haven't posted, but I bet a lot are counting on the holiday weekend to get some work done.

I've finished highlighting and inking my purple undercoat on all mine, and have started the green. I'll post another pic when the green is done (maybe today, probably tomorrow).

MGT - Those look really nice, especially the shields and skull emblems. I'd paint the hammer heads silver, then do a bunch of black ink washes on them, just to give it a little more oomph. How long did it take to do the whole squad do you think?
