Back... and green this time?
« on: March 3, 2010, 07:57:15 PM »
Been a long while but I needed to freshen up on 40k.  I stuck my head in to find that my account is still active.  My mountain of Eldar/Deathguard/IG/Tau is all gone so I'm starting over.  I was looking for something to do with the step-son and 40K seemed like a good fit since I've moved and there's a GW store nearby.  We split the starter box.  So he's going ultra marines and I'm going to rock the orks - which should hopefully fit into my history of conversion work...

Anyway, thought I'd say hello, wave and start reading up on recent changes.

Welcome back.  :)

Yes, there have been quite a few changes even in the last couple of years. Starting over is the best solution as the rule set itself has seen many changes since last you were active. The Ork community will eagerly support you in the research process as will the Marine community in regards to your step son.

Welcome back, Athaga Mor. happy to see you again.
And yes, the game has changed a bit, but not something you can't overcome by browsing the latest rulebook and ork codex. You will find the orks a great deal more ... smashy and killy than before, so you won't be outclassed by anyone with any ease.

Lost Roads - finally released!

Welcome back, can't wait for pics on the greenstuffing, esp. with a fellow Deathguard player.
If you meet a bear named Sanctjud in the tavern, don't get into his van for candy.  I did once....it's sticky, salty, and really not very nice. :(
Raptor Jesus will get you Tangi... oh he will.

Welcome back sir.  Sad to see that you abandoned the greater good, but I think we all do eventually, most of us running off to Chaos or the Waagh.... Look to see the madness you are going to create.

Besides, the FW DCCW is too damn awesome not to put it on a ven dread... Holy Moly! You know something? that's not even a proper DA ven dread; its a generic ven dread with a RW icon plastered on one side after half the icon's wing has been cut away, pathetic! :P
