Wood Elf on Warhawk
« on: December 12, 2005, 04:47:06 PM »

Converted the body to of a glade rider to the legs on to the warhawk rider to make him stand out in rest of unit.
What do you think?

beautiful picture, excellent paint job.  How about a few more pics at different angles!!

(is that a mold-line I see on the top of the bow?)

You highlighted your mould lines? Might want to fix that. Its rather embarressing.

Pretty good, just a couple things I spy avec mes petits yeux.

-Mould lines, and it almost looks like you highlights that one.
-The wood, I dunno if it was your intention but the tip of the guy's spear is well woodified.
-Imust congratulate you on one of the more original things I have seen so far with those *ahem* lovely warhawk riders.

I assumed the line on the bow was where the cloth wrap meets? Ie. A stitching line...

For the skin I started with scorched brown and slowly mixed in the next coulour in the sequence.
Scorched brown-bestial brown-sneakbite leather- bronzed flesh - elf flesh- then finally white
lots of layering

reallyreally good like it very much.  i like the fact that imbetween every colour there is a black line it makes the colours stand out and defines them.  keep up the good work.

I don't enjoy being a poo, but it looks to me like the top half of the body and the bottom half aren't square on each other... maybe it's just the angle?

I highlighted it

and @ Brother Gregorius big "poo" ;D  it is slightly slanted but because of the light it makes it look worse than it actually is as it looks fine when you look at the acutal model.

Alright, now that I look at it, it makes more sense.
