BIDEN as president...
« on: August 4, 2005, 01:32:08 AM »
OK... I live in Delaware (you know that tiny state under PA and inside MA) o I have to know him. He has made it clear of his possible intentions to run for president in 2008 and I want to know about the people that have heard of him and how they think he might do.

Biden is the most democratic man you might ever meet. He shoots from the hip and is unafraid to speak his mind. He is unparalled in his foreign democracy, and is one of the more well-known senators around the world.

With my pitiful introduction complete, please do a little research and then come back with your comments.

Since you would like us to comment, it would be more helpful if you are the one actually providing us with links and sources to introduce us to this man.

Good point.... Didn't think of that...

Here is his website: http://biden.senate.gov/

Here are some quotes and analysis he has done over various topics ranging from Bolton to base closings: http://www.joebiden.com/

This is from a forum which does a good job of showing his strengths, while other posters try to bring him down. http://www.notgeniuses.com/archives/000345.html *note: this was written July 22, 2003 in regards to his possible canadacy during the last election.

Here is his wikepedia bio: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Biden

Here is a great site about poloticians with referances to what they did and did not vote for and what they had to say about each issue: http://www.issues2000.org/Senate/Joe_Biden.htm

Happy reading... I hope this post doesn't die because no one feels like reading.  :(

Didn't Biden try to run for the democratic party president in 2004 and lost to Kerry?

I think he considdered, but realized he did not have enough money or support, especially that late in the game.

I live in Delaware, and if you live in the US, you will know how small and insugnicant we are. Something like this attracts a lot of fan-fair. I don't remember this uch of a hooplah in 2004, which means he was not as serious as he is now.

I've actually heard of this Biden fellow a few times, and I'm from the Netherlands.
