Very sad.  Such a talented actor.  So far, 2017 is feeling far too similar to 2016.

While his death is sad, please let's not continue this trend of anthropomorphizing the year into something that kills people. We all knew some celebrities were going to die even just a couple of days into january. It's not gonna stop.

If there is anything that recent politics has taught us, it is that quotes taken out of context can mean what ever you want them to.

That plus other political events, yes.

Going back to John Hurt, one of the remarkable things about him is his versatility.  He's one of those rare actors when I think of so many different roles that he has played, rather than just one or two.  He was never type cast.
