Welcome, guys and do check out the boot camp thread and the first page of this thread they will answer a good portion of your questions, but don't think you can't ask a quest, simply start a thread, we move on ironing out our yoofs faster than even the eldar can see... might be an overstatement but you get the gist

Wow what a massive response over the last few days.   Looks like the warbosses must have been out recruiting.   Now lets see if you boyz can earn your t-shirts.   Welcome to being a prospect:  Respekt, Koval Archmagos Errant, Galadian122, and Admiral Dred.

We have a very large group of ork players who have a combined experience in about everything orky so feel free to ask if you have any questions.  The first page of this post explains quite a bit and also has some knowledgable links.   Welcome aboard.

I also wanna say great job to all those who entered the Boss Pole competition.  The entries were wrote very well and I enjoyed reading them all.  I also added a section to the Ork Fiction main page to showcase your Boss Pole fiction.

As always if there is anything you want to see on the main page that might have been left out feel free to send me a PM (please include a link) and a description of what you would like to add or where you would like to add it (if it is an article or a post).  I will review it and believe it or not I do edit the main page from time to time.  ::)

Welcome to the Green Side Koval Archmagos Errant, Galadian122, and Admiral Dred.

Your names have been added to the bank account, and you will see them there on the next update (Mondays).

Good to see you all join the waagh, now, in case I haven't mentioned it to you yet, I am a full fledged card carrying member of the Kult (of speed) and may or may not try to prothelize from time to time. So if you are asking for army building advice I might just suggest getting trucks, and more trucks, and some buggies too. But that is just me, if you feel you might want to play a different build then go for it and ignore the speed freak behind the curtain.

For a list of lists check out The Thread of Lists that I started a while back but it got neglected and so is many pages back. Check it out and see what kind of army you are going to play, and if you can't decide, I suggest speed freaks.

*shifty eyes*
Things seem quiet... too quiet...
*Shoota goes off*

The leaders of the WotW have some rather secretive plans in the works, and Orktober is just around the corner.  So please get ready for a couple crazy events to come down the pipe next month.  Get your armies ready, and gather your forces.  I won't reveal whats going on yet, and neither will AoD, Skeetergod, or DropFall, but trust me, Orktober will be a month to remember with more than a few surprises.  Keep your eyes open for further intel.

Waaagh on

Post Script: for those who don't know me, I'm the absent minded Warlord whose gotten a little too off his rocker in the past several months while AoD, Skeetergod, and DropFall have been running the show.
Truly beautiful work. That's the kind of stuff that makes a true mekanik cry tears of joy.

Hmmm, orktober, sounds big!  I am also crossing my fingers for necrovember right after orktober...
The key to victory is the ratio of quantity divided by the ratio of quality multiplied by the points of an army, then times zero, minus how bad you roll dice on average.

Does it actually exist!!

OOOO but those little Tau can sure be annoying.  One time a Crisis started jumping up and down a landing pad, mah boyz couldn't catch up to them!
In the end Thraka simply broke the landing pad with his bare klaw and proceeded to kill the Crisis with righteous orky fury!  That was a nice highlight.

Dont mess with da Profit of Gork and Mork!

So I dug around my parents attic looking for my old Orks. I bought them way back when around the Eye of Terror campaign and never actually played them due to them having the oldest and crappiest codex at the time.  :P

I'll order the new Dex soon after I finish painting all these boys... and well... you know... building them.

So far:
60 slugga boyz
old Nobz metal box set
a handful of burna boyz
a bunch of ork boys with big shootas
Warboss in eavy armor
5 old killa kans

I've a bunch of old Space Marine tanks from when I started on Black Templars back in like 98 or so. Time to convert my old land raiders into battlewagons.

Before you convert those landraiders, you should know the new codex has rules for looted vehicles...

Before you convert those landraiders, you should know the new codex has rules for looted vehicles...

Lets see here... Looted Wagons (typically made from the smaller range of vehicles like Rhinos and Chimeras) or Battlewagon?  Yeah, I have to agree with Galadian122's original statement of turning it into a Battlewagon.  I'm not saying that the Looted Wagon is useless, but a Battlewagon is far superior, not to mention how prior to the release of the official Battlewagon model (which I still personally think is a horrible kit) 90% of all Battlewagons had a Land Raider as a basis for konversion.

In the event that you do consider making the Land Raider into a Looted Wagon (which I wouldn't do, but it is your choice after all) be sure to check here, the Looted Wagon Tactics thread which is only a few days old.

Peace

Its gonna look orky either way so it could probably be used for both.  And the boomgun can be a kilcannon etc.

Special events... you say.   Well just keep your pants on.   Orktober is just around the corner and your bosses have been working extra hard to make Orktober as eventful as we can.

Just remember you all asked for it, so when the events are here we best see some participation.   I will be throwing an interesting curve ball in my event...   HA HA HA.

5 more dayz til Orktober...

I was just looking over on the first page of this post and noticed that Adam's buggy tactica wasn't listed there. I could be have missed it  but looked 3 times and still didn't see it on there. Just thought I'd point that out in case our new guys wanted to read over it as it's a good one and will answer allot of questions regarding buggies
