Topic: Do Americans 'get' Sam Eagle?

Okay, for those who've forgotten, Sam Eagle is the blue eagle from the muppets, and keeps coming up with phrases like "stopping in the middle of the row is strictly Un-Patriotic" (taken from the Muppets 3D ride at Disney).

What I want to know is this: Do Americans find him funny, and if so, do they find him funny for the same reason as everyone else?

I know who you are talking about however I can't remember too much of how he spoke as I haven't watched Muppets in a long time.

Being a Patriot, I might find it pretty funny though.  Now I have to check out some movies only to see it for myself.
