drop the warriors from the HQ retinue and replace them with incubi

drop the jetbikes and add either another raider squad or another ravager with 3 dis

the 145 points from the bikes should give you enough to do both of those things.

But wait a minute, i would trade the bikes to take another ravager w/ 3 dissies but only if his raiders were equipped with lances.  But i think the raiders w/ dissies make up for a ravager dont you think?  

Personally, i dont know anyone who puts dissies on raiders.

I alredy have 4 dark lances...in 1000pts there isnt goin to be a lot they cant destroy, and vincedis...u want me to have 5 incubi in 1000pts? isnt that a bit of overkill...i will think about the second ravager idea...thanx for your thoughts

Yes, don't mix Incubi and Warriors in a Retinue.
A smart player will hit everything on the Warriors
and then your tough Retinue will make LD tests.

Y dont u have blasters or shreders in your raider squads and u dont have enough assault. Most of your army is shooting. I would drop the sniper squads and put in a wych squad with 1 blaster and haywire g nades.

because i dont like using wyches...i dont kno why  just dnt like them...i dont like the idea of not gettin first turn and havin to do 6+ armour saves as they tumble out of their paper thin raider...and even in combat its only eva the succubus that does anything and sumtimes that aint enuff...so no, no wyches, also in 1000pts i think the army should be geared towards shooting as there are few decent combat units in the DE army that wud fit in 1000pts without losing sumthin vital

wow good point but i never really found a good army list withought using wyches and ever since i started using them i have won almost all my battles. I gues it all depends on how u use dark eldar and your tatice i use a lot of hiding so maby that is why the wyches work so well for me.

wyches are fragile but deadly... that is why so many of our tactics involve sacrificing raider squads in order to keep the wyches alive.

as far as your HQ goes yes 5 incubi in 1000 points is overkill but you are better off having 5 incubi and no warriors or no retinue at all. if you are going to have archon/dracon and retinue then it should be 5 incubi. if you are not going to have 5 incubi then you should have no retinue. you can put the archon on a jetbike or you can have him as an independant character that joins another squad. putting warriors in a retinue weakens the unit. if you could have a retinue of less than 5 figures i would say just drop the 2 warriors but you need at least 5 to be legal.

ravagers should almost always be disintegrators. whether or not you put dis on the raiders depends on what you feel is going to be the proper balence of tank busting and troop weps. normally i keep the raiders with DL but add a horrorfex. Mostly a matter of preference since you will just use the units slightly differently on game day. (NOTE: 3 disintegrator shots from 3 different raiders will not kill as many models as 3 shots from one ravager.)

your idea of an dracon (even tho it aint new) on a jetbike is highly appealing...it will give me a chance to convert which i luv and also free up some points to add a succubus into the squad aswell, thanx vincedis..that also gets rid of the prob about those 2 warriors   and for your second point i am sure u have noticed that my ravager has 3 dissies on it and u were just saying all that stuff anyway...i kno 3 raiders wont have the same effect but i still like the idea of 5 dissie shots...its nice

personally in smaller games i like to go with really really small HQs one or two haemonculus under 100 points seems to fit the bill nicely for me. its just a personal pref in that i normally field 5 or 6 troop options. (lots of raiders to screen for me and it makes for a shooty list)

if you were to drop the 2 warriors and add 2 incubi you would only increase the cost of the unit by 14 points i think but i feel that you would be better off going with the jetbike lord or an IC footslogger that can join something else.

yeah i have just been making a list, it involves an ARCHON on jetbike because quite frankly i have nice juicy points to spend so i feel like making dracon raziel...archon raziel...anyhoo enuff babbling, i have 50 points more to spend on my list so as your online...any ideas?

personally i am a huge fan of horrorfex on raiders. that would add another 10 if you went with it.

your raider squads could both use a blaster for another 10 points

you could add warriors to one of the raider squads to get it up to 9 (needs a 3rd wound to test for Ld that way) for 24 points.

or you could add one haemonculus w/destructor and scissorhands for 45 points

see where your archon is at for wargear and if you can add a hell mask or trophy rack without going over the 100 point limit that might be an option just to blow the last 5 points

throw up your new list if you get a chance and maybe we can figure something out that we missed the first time through

ohh i just had another thought...

if you are up to some converting you could drop the archon back down to a dracon and add in a haemonculus on a reaver jet bike w/destructor t.helm and scissorhands for 85 points.

a flamer template jetbike is very tempting :-)

you may not lik this idea but it works for me .  ditch the paper armored ravager and  get  some  harly DJs two bright lances and a shriker cannon can ruin anyones day. a shadow seer is a big helpm too. most peopla avoid harlys becuase theyre somewhat a little pricy but you show me a heavy support unit that can kill almost anythin in close combat.

tempting but not tournament legal. the harliquin codex has been dropped from the approved army list. there are rumors that they are going to revamp and re-release it but there are rumors that they are going to do a lot of things.

nice thought though.

you have a point . it realy depends whaer you are playing at.  if you wana use them at a tourny ya have to ask the person in charge. Where i play they okay with it.(ecept my solitare the shooties are gettin real pissed when he tears through his HQ and about 20-25 other models.
