army help for Harlies
« on: January 21, 2002, 08:48:53 AM »
I have about 130 extra points for my army list and I was wondering if I should take 2 Venoms or a Wraithlord.  Also, how does a harly wraithlord look?  I have yet to find a picture of one, and the venom in the codex isn't even in color.

If you don't allready have Venoms to transport your Troupes, I reccomend you get those.  Without them your Troupes will get shot up before they do you any good in combat. Just be sure to put the Venoms in cover, they dont have a very good AV from what I remember.  The Harlequin wraithlord looks like an Eldar wraithlord, except he has a Harlequin Jetbike faceplate as its "face"... If you were to take a Wraithlord in the future, be sure to arm him with a D-Cannon, its just too good to pass up.
Hope that helps

Blatantly you want a wraithlord.

not necessarily brain, the venoms are very useful and bring solataire/great harlies into cc along with troupes..it all depends on the army

I'd probably take the Venom. Aren't Harlequin Wraithlords 140pts with a heavy weapon?

Harlequin Wraithlords lookf like a normal wraithlords except they have the carapace from the Harlequin Jetbike on their "face".
Eldrad was an Eldar Seer
Of him captured rangers gladly cheer:
whose realm, like many, was truly d**ned
Between the Eye and Imperial land.
His sword was long, his staff was keen,
In his ghosthelm the future was often seen;
The lightning storms of heaven vast
Were mirrored in his psychic blasts.
But soon he may fade away,
And what then of Ulthwe none can say;
Then into crystal will his body grow
In the Dome of Seers were old Farseers go.

mine doesn't.

In a small game harlequins really do not need a solitaire. They need something mroe stable and solid, durable like a wraithlord, but I guess it depends upon your tactics.
