Topic: 1000 pts Sisters of Battle for tourney

Hey everyone. I might be attending a tournament this Sunday, and if I do attend I'll probably be taking either my Dark Eldar or Sisters of Battle. The tournament itself is for 1000 points. If I decide to take Sisters, then here's what I'm taking:


St. Celestine- 115
10 Battle Sisters- meltagun, heavy flamer- 155
-Rhino- 35
10 Battle Sisters- meltagun, heavy flamer- 155
-Rhino- 35
8 Seraphim- 2 hand flamers, VSS w. eviscerator- 220
Exorcist- 135
Exorcist- 135

Total: 985


Any thoughts on this list? More importantly, how should I fill the 15-point gap (aside, of course, with maybe another Seraphim). My biggest wonder, of course, is should I even bother with Rhinos any more due to Hull Points? Or should I ditch them and configure my poor Sisters for footslogging now?

Criticism, as always, is welcome.

I still think Rhino's are fine for getting you closer to objectives faster and for the points they doo offer moderate protection.

It's a nice list, seems like a solid core. Should toast(see what I did there) most foot slogging armies with all the fire. Just pray you never see an Avatar across the table.

Well, as an alternative, I could drop a Seraphim and throw in a pair of combi-flamers on the Sister Superiors. Or do you think more bodies on the Seraphim is always better?

P.S. I played a test game today against Chaos. The Celestine + Seraphim combo impressed me immensely-- the amount of wounds they can do with flamers is scary, and Celestine bolstering the unit with Fearless and I7 for Hit and Run is also pretty impressive.

That looks like a solid list, my only concern would be the lack of troop choice. I was going to run 2 in  my 1000point list but ended up with 3 and footslogged it. It was a doubles tourney but aside from that the list I took did very well against anything that was thrown at it. This was for 5th edition, to be fair I did not fight any horde armies, so I am unable to comment of that portion of the game. This was my list. Sidenote, Saint Celestine was the MVP every game, and the seraphim are an auto include for me now.
