So I finally played my first game of 8th edition and decided it would be the perfect time to start building my thousand sons. I have 3 squads of rubric marines, 2 squad of scarab occult terminators, Ahriman and the exalted sorcerers.
I was just wondering how everyone is running their squads of rubric, ie. what weapons I should arm them with and if I should wait until something is released for the scarab occult new rules or if I should just build both squads now.

I'm of the opinion that the warpflamers are a bit too pricey, but work very well (assuming you can get close).
The assault cannon (precise name is slipping my mind) is also solid, but don't mix it with flamers.
Don't drop points on the hand flamer option for the sorc.
Generally I don't give them any special options at all. They're too pricey as-is.

So for I am building 3 Rubric marines so for the sorcerer go for an inferno bolt pistol and stave. 8 with inferno bolters and one with a soul reaper cannon.
For the Scarab Occult Terminators I have 2 squads should i go with a squad with a flamer and one with the soulreaper cannon?

I am perhaps not the best person to ask about Scarab Occults (I've only fielded them once), but generally my Ksons lists suffer from a mighty lack of antitank weapons, so the Hellfyre Missiles are hard to pass up. YMMV, though.
