In fact it is advised that you don't start a new thread on their subject so that we can keep all the information in one spot.Warhammer miniatures are heroic 28 mm scale, which is approximately 1:65.
Heroic means that features are slightly emphasised, such as size of weapons, at the expense of more realistic proportions. It also means that the models tend to stand slightly taller than the indicated 28 mm.
Lord of the Rings miniatures are 25 mm scaled.
