Half trak looks great, I think some tireguards would look nice though

The half track's hull kinda reminds me of the French tanks during WWI and the 1920s and 30s. Small, with a 2 man crew.

Paint job is great. Let me guess, cityfight veterans?

you know, you may want to consider converting your heavy weapon teams to use small bases, or magnetizing the tripods/bipods so you can swap em out. Just a tip, it saves money and time (though you will have less models, which can be bad if youre making a super huge one off army I suppose).

Either way, awesome job so far, totally cool stuff. Maybe make an apoc sheet for that sentinel, a Hydra, but with AV 10 and an open topped walker? or as a cheaper varient, swap the Hydra's armament with stubbers, it's just too great of a conversion to pass up! Nicely done.

In my haste i managed to double post the pic of the trooper (d'oh), heres the sergeant that went MIA

Ok, now onto the Q&A:

@Zaeon : Haven't totally come up with the fluff. Obviously, they come from an urban world (factorium, hiveworld). I toyed with having them as almost borderline fascists. Protecting the rich upper classes of the hive from the proletarian scum/deranged mutants of the lower echelons. Either that or just quite an irregular guard force lead by your typical anti-hero.

@Stolenchicken : No real reason, the conversion was years old and had a rudimentary paint job. Decided to keep as is (i couldn't see it anyother way) and just alter the roof. Maybe its just me, but it looks a bit more AT-ST to me now. (yes, I know they didn't have 4guns...yes, yes, jar jar binks ruined it)

@Voltarian : Thats rlly gd news, not sure i've ever inspired anyone before. Be sure to post them up i'd rlly like to a butchers at them

@Catachan Devil Sniper : Cityfight vets indeed, but no real rules, maybe light infantry occasionally.

@Wonko : I mite use the AA rules for the sentinal, but until i get a few games under my belt with the Guard. Also, may try that trick for the misile launchers so i can run the grunts without one should i want them to run across the board and...well...die attempting to capture objectives

@Markay : Cheers, weathering and decals/details, to come. Put the Regimental 22 on the back panel of the turret yesterday. Does anybody have any good pics of a weathered Russ? could be very useful

are all those guys laying down? I can't tell. Greenstuff takes practice, you'll get better if your other conversions say anything about your skills. Coming back to the half-trak, Ork Buggy wheel guards might look good on the front wheels

Were those ratlings? Or where they like legless...and that other guy has to run off those hot dog legs!

I still think that half track should be a little bit bigger than it is.

hey no worries! My first time with greenstuff I tried to make hair and got a helmet instead. That said, perhaps some wireframe legs would be good to build the GS on to. I would also let some greenstuff harden a little before sculpting.

hey, you know when they say start with a sausage of greenstuff...  :D

- they'll be cool once you get the legs right. to be honest theres plenty of good bare foot alternatives out there like skaven and gobbo's for people to use. ive personally never done ratties, but would certainly have a blast at some home made...

Really nice army you've got yourself, I'm doing pretty much the same thing myself, private security-firm specialised in urban combat and riot handling. And you heavy weapon bases are not too crowded, they are supposed to be crowded ;)

Otherwise, I agree that you should bulk up the half-track, it looks a bit too weedy. I've got myself a buggy (sentinel) that looks more sturdy  ;)

Keep up the great work, love your paint scheme

I like the Sgt. alot. Where did you get the head and the stub gun? The revolver look is very cool.

The raties's Sniper rifles look pretty decent too.
When in deadly danger,
When beset by doubt,
Run in little circles,
Wave your arms and shout.
