Topic: 1000 point NECRON list

Heres my necron 1000 point list. Ill be fighting mostly marines. It is very boring, dunno what i could do different. Maybe take out 12 warriors and put in some destroyers.

...Get a Monolith and Heavy Destroyers...Then hide what little Necrons you would have left to prevent phase out while the monlith wreaks havoc, and the Destroyers snipe...

yeah you could do it...just would make an unforgiving Necron list...yes an idea to make the necrons unforgiving...

That will still give you 25 necrons so you would have to be knocked down to 5, if you deep strike the Monolith it would cause insane damage, then you would have 4 lascannon shots a turn...The lord, if you give him the destroyer body, can run up and shoot off 3 anti-power armour shots a turn...oh and remember that the particle whip is ordnance, so big template

anti armour weapons:
Lord - 3 shots
H. Destroyers - 4 shots
Monolith - one template

you could wipe them out if you are cautious with the HD's and Lord, along with placing the monolith where it needs to go...

You list is great and balanced, I'm just suggesting a little more aggression

why would you put four h. destroyers in 1000pts?  say you roll bad and miss 2 or 3 of your only four shots.  then you a couple get shot up and you fail your wbb's.  you can lose 130 pts just like that without them doing anything.  with  only 1000pts. its to risky. 

i understand using the monolith.  in a 1000pts their is little your opponent can do to destroy it. its worth its weight in gold.

your list is good how it is imo.  with all those necrons you will be hard to keep down and also hard to phase out.  the main thing i would switch it a lord on foot with vod.

ya i also disagree about using the heavy d's, ill rather take regular destroyers instead
