Long time lurker--never poster, but this sounds like a good way to get motivated to do some painting done in time.

I'll start with a box of 6 Howling Banshees.

yes this is a great way to apply a sublte amount of pressure to actually get some paint on some of the lead you own!

Vets built, magnetised (2 with pistols/cswords, 2 with pistols/pswords, 1 with pistol/pfist, plus some extra arms including a meltagun) and primed. Starting on the faces and robes tonight. They will be Consecrators or Angels of Vengeance, so red robes over black armour I think. I'll post a pic when I've done the robes.

Robes done, re-undercoated skulls, faces etc in white. Doing them and the ropes and stuff today, then starting on metals tomorrow. My wife appears to have gone out with the camera, otherwise I'd post a pic.

Yep, got my mojo back.

Edit - got the camera back - pic taken last night, so a bit more progress made since then.

Lost my momentum on the DE last couple of months. I've got 1500pts worth painted since summer and only some warriors, a raider and some nasty old warp beasts left to do, so I thought I'd take a break and get my DA up to scratch. Got around 5k of old RT beakies and a 2k Deathwing army painted in old DA colours (black and red), now reborn as Consecrators. Couldn't resist the new robed fellas. Expect some devs, command squad and snipers over the next few months

No need to apologise, fantastic job. I love the Wraithlord, lovely freehand on there. The FD, I especially love the colour scheme, did you have much trouble with the colours you used, yellow/orange/black blend? (I think that is hard to achieve)

My vow is going ok. Vypers all but finished, although I am going to fail as I'm moving on to my FP and WS, and building a second FP.

I've done my drones, my sniper team and my gue'vesa, for the most part anyways, just need to do the lenses on the drones, so all I've got left is my crisis commander and that's it  ;D
Reset my counters in prep for 6th:

Sorry, it's past the tenth.  Vows were locked.  Can't change them now.  Sorry.

Anyways, I got my castigator finished.  I just have the 6th Strider to complete.

EDIT:  I'm finished, just completed my last strider.

ah well it is impossible to do the 3 jetbikes i said as i converted them and so i dont think anyone would really mind if i used 3 locks instead of 3 bikes.
