Seeing as it is only their first draft, I am going to go through and point out parts that make no sense. Best example is their ruling on re-rolls to hit not affecting blast gets hot. They are flat out cutting the rule out of the book in the FAQ section, not the Errata?
There were some rulings that I had issue with, so here's hoping they are open to criticism.
Edit:
Actually, just went through all of he clarifications and there was much less wrong than I had originally thought once I looked up the rule.
1) Blast and Gets Hot - All of my arguments from
this thread still stand.
2) Gets Hot and Re-rolls - quite the cop out on this one, but brings it back in line to how it has been for years. I kind of liked it that you have to roll 1s twice to overheat.
3) Hull mounted firing arc - 45 degree total arc is really beslubbering narrow. And then to make it even more confusing, they state that vehicles have a vertical degree of arc at 45 degrees as well, but then go on to talk about how they can be swivelled up or down 45 degrees.
4) Measuring to units in transports - It would be nice if they were just consistent with their ruling on this. First you can measure from the hull for abilities, then you can't, then they FAQ it that you can, then they take that away. The model isn't off the table, it's just inside a vehicle. Let us use their beslubbering abilities. No more sticking Belial in a Land Raider for Terminators to use his Teleport Homer.
5) Can fortifications scout - Who the beslubber asks THAT question?!?
6) Bikes can climb ruins - bwahahahahahahaha, oh you gotta be kidding me.
7) Can't move through ruin walls - In direct contradiction to the rule for moving through terrain on page 21 where it says you can move through, up, or over any terrain unless it is noted as being impassable.
Grenades can only be ever used by one model - They use the rules for shooting with grenades as their justification, which is flat out wrong. But if they stick to this ruling, then that will be ridiculous. Yay, I have Krak Grenades on all of my marines... but only one can slap it to a tank?
9) Flyers forced to move over an enemy unit no longer crash - Despite the rules saying they will crash if they are forced to stop within 1" of an enemy.
10) A single model can do a Disordered Charge and charge two units - No. Just... just no. First off, a straight line to the closest model in the primary unit is not going to allow you to touch another round base. Second, the rule for multiple charges flat out says that you can't pull this amphetamine parrot.
So, not that many, but still enough to be an issue. What bothers me is that many of these are flat out rule changes. Almost as if the people who wrote this (presumably developers) never even looked at the rules to see if it was possible.
