Wow Eldanesh, never knew you played ever untill you started to post in this and the other thread. Wow really thats cool, I feel small now  ;D
I like playing at gigs, I'm a bit young too for anything serious.  I just might get a ESP LTD or an Explorer at the end of this summer  :), so excited, if I do i'll post the pics and get you guys hooked up with my 3 song demo for my band. My really weird band of 3 people, me = lead and rhythm guitar, dude= bass, Euge= electrical producer man, and maybe an electric violin.  ;D its a weird band, and we play weird metal, but its metal. So soon, towards the end of this summer, I will hopefully have a new guitar and my 3 song demo (maybe more songs).

Electric violin is only in some songs, and it works out very nice. Trust me, well I hope you like it when I get my demo up.

I play a Fernades Dragonfly X. It's not bad, needs some work, sounds meh, but plays. I'm saving for a Fernandes Raven Elite, hopefully I'll have it by the end of the summer. I want to put a Seymour Duncan livewire metal pu in it because that thing is baddass. I read reveiws for it on Harmonycentral and one guy said "satan came to my house and told me to turn it down!". 8)

MY amp is a peavey transtube 258efx, again not bad, does what its supposed to, some decetn effects and cool delay. Its a great value for a practise crap amp. I recently got a digitech RP2000 (old version of GNX2) on eBay and it's in the mail. That thing is sweet. I'll hopefully get a hughes & Kettner tubeman to juice up the digital processor. I paid (hahahahha) $153 cdn for the rp2000 (it would've listed for about 800 when it came out 3 years ago). I got a great deal because its an old model (I actually like the layout and voicing of this over the GNX series) and it needs some repairs. The tubeman will be about 600. With these two things, I'll have a rig thats easier to manipulate and better sounding than a $2000+ marshall, mesa, etc. setup. Hahahaha. ;D

My musical tastes are pretty broad. I like Morbid Angel and Opeth but I'll also listen to AFI and other poppier stuff like that on the radio. I've only opened back up to more popular rock recently, I was hardcore into all the underground stuff exclusively for a while.

I'm a competent guitar player. I've played for 6 or so yrs, i don't know. I can riff and solo well and I can kill most of the guitar players at my school. Today, a band at my school stumbled through Like a Stone and Teen Spirit for an assembly, it was pathetic. Once I get the RP2000, I'll have some wah and whammy effects to play with so that will expand my sound some more.

btw Creeping Death is my little bro. 8) hahaha.

i stick to my 1970's telecaster. i have a rocksteady band and i like the way it sounds, since it makes her feel different from stratos (which everyone uses). i also like its sound when i play punk jam sessions with some friends!

anyway, i also own an old jazz guitar (a 1965's hofner). it is hard as hell to play, but its sound pays it off... it makes easy to solo in bebop, jazz or swing... even in ska-jazz or ska-swing
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

Wait are you serious?????? If not then Creeping Death is my little bro also  ;D, but seriously are you joking?

Telecasters are nice, but i need something with more metal kick and the ability to play nice clean. And I know that Explorers and ESP LTD are known for both. But an Explorer sounds more enticing right now, I mean the looks and the sound is great! But you can also obtain a decent ESP LTD that will perform the job, but dont look as cool (and most bands have these  ;)). I dont know I'm split.
Right now I have my faithful Tele to keep up with my melodic metal habits, but a new guitar is dawning (sometime  :-\).

You realize that I could just take your amp instead of waiting for you to get a new one. :D

And Rokugen, he's not joking. He had an acct. on EO a long time ago, and he revived it just today. :P

Oh well, once I get my KH602 I'll be able to post pics of it every once in a while. ;D

All of this talk about Explorers,..

Like I said in my first post, my workhorse guitar is an Ibanex X-Series Destroyer pretty similar to an Explorer (only cooler  8))

Nice!
I love Explorers, and i will get one as soon as possible.
I'll post the pics of it as soon as possible, but that may not be as soon as I hope. What color should I go for? white or black? white is pretty cool, and so is black. Or somethng else.

The whiteish creamish one is the one used in the video for One, correct?

I don't know, black is pretty tempting... maybe just get 'em both!

Don't get that barbed wire graphic though, it's the kind of thing you put on a guitar when you have 20 others just like it, without graphics on them... If you get what I mean. ;D

the one time i used and explorer, i found it far too cumbersome to be able to move about properly...

but i was kinda young when i tried it, so i guess i should give it another try. But i dunno - i've always been a super-strat kinda guy... but then saying that i also like the looks of Les Pauls (even thou they break your back)and a few SG's
subtle as a sledge hammer
