just bringing it to the top...

Alive without breath,
As cold as death,
Never thirsting ever drinking,
Clad in mail never clinking,
thinks an island is a mountain,
Thinks a fountain-
Is a puff of air,
So sleek! So fair!
for what more could I wish?

ah, baggins guesssssed it long ago precioussss... Gollum... Now for what do we wish?

rather crude memory of the full version of that riddle (almost answer)

The beginning of eternity
The end of time and space
The beginning of every end,
And the end of every place.
Eldrad was an Eldar Seer
Of him captured rangers gladly cheer:
whose realm, like many, was truly d**ned
Between the Eye and Imperial land.
His sword was long, his staff was keen,
In his ghosthelm the future was often seen;
The lightning storms of heaven vast
Were mirrored in his psychic blasts.
But soon he may fade away,
And what then of Ulthwe none can say;
Then into crystal will his body grow
In the Dome of Seers were old Farseers go.

Wither by the watering hole, water patrol

Not enough young in his lung for the water wings?

All these riddles are old and stuff, can't you people think of some new ones?
Some people may laugh at you and call you crazy, but when you're pointing a gun at them you decide who's crazy.

you are trapped in a building, in the center of the room there is a pipe that is 2 feet long, 1 1/2 inch wide capped on the bottom and mounted into the floor of the room pointing? up. inside the pipe is a ping pong ball and inside the ping pong ball is a key to open the door so you can get out. all you have with you is a match.

How do you get out
(mehehehe stick that in ur pipe and smoke it ;D)

I wonder... suppose you got something flammable and burned it over the tube...CO2 settles into the tube...as CO2 is heavier than air and the ping-pong ball is filled with air it might float up...would that work?

after much much thinking, I think I have the answer. It does have nothing to do with the match after thinking... pingpong ball will still be lighter than water... or an interesting cross between spit and pee... yes, pee/spit for a long time into the pipe...

you have a cake and you need to make 8 equal slices but u canonly cut it three time stright through how do u do it?

u have 2 sand timers, one measures 11 min the other measures 7 min, how do you time 15 min exactly?

you have 2 pieces of rope, they will both burn for 1/2 an hour each, but they are made of different material at different points, and as such it will burn at different speeds in different areas. you need to figure out when 45 min has passed how do you do it?

OK... I can only work on these one at a time...

Cake; Simple. cut once in half, then the other 2 sorta make an X around it. go try. I was lucky enough to have a pie handy.
