Jonik: Its the WW2 Willys Jeep ;) I'm picking one up in a couple of weeks to restore... come new IG codex money will get pretty tight  ;)
Its an even stranger day when you have a fat Games Workshop-Fanboy Ninja declare to end you for something you did for April Fools on Teh Interwebz.

It's a strange day in the world where I find myself agreeing more often than not with Swiper.  :D

Hmm, with the moved date I should be able to make it (the previous one was within a few weeks of my wife's due date....). It will almost certainly be "pansy Eldar" for me too, but my vibrocannons will have to stay on a shelf :(

quick question

do you guys want us to plan 2 events a year or just cater for 1, ask so that we can allocate club resources for it better
(happy either way) one could be WFB ?

hmm interesting proposal, i'd definitely be interested in a WHFB tournie and if its not too presumptuous of me i'd say chuckles would be as well

How dare you!

Nah good call, I'd be very interested in a Fantasy tournament provided there's a decent chance it wouldn't be VC and Daemons up the yazoo

I'd be interested in a second tournament.  Don't mind whether it's 40k or WFB (I'd prefer no special characters, as there's some bent ones out there, but that's up to the organisers).

Hey all,

Mac, we can have a chat about it on the 21st. It will be good to see people again. I would love a Warhamme  tournament but I am not sure that we would be able to get the numbers that we do for 40k. Mac is there a smaller venue there abouts if there were only 14 of us or so?

So are a lot of people planning on bringing a different army this time around? I was suprised at the lack of marines last year but with the new codex they seem to be a very popular choice. Hopefully this will as always motivate me into a good bit of army making.

I was also considering prizes for this year. Any ideas on what we could use?

If the fantasy one falls through I'd be interested in that - 750-1000pts each could be cool, but having never done one before I dunno about intricacies and stuff. Plus there's the issue of needing players/4 rather than players/2, and deciding how pairs are formed...!

I vote for comedy random prizes, like a statuette of a bloke kicking a football and so on. But thats just me.

Random alliances is not good as it can screw over some people and aid others. An IG nid alliance will be much more effective than, say 2 marine lists. Also you run the risk of personality/styles of play conflicts. If you allow people to pair up in advance you get a much more balanced tournament and probably a more fun one- it is good to play on the same side as your friend. You can have random pairing for those who are coming alone, or can sort it out in advance through the forums.

Airplanes are actually quite harmless, they cost lots of points, turn up late, aren't actually that dangerous and then shove off at the end of the game instead of contesting an objective....

Dont let g00gle hear you say that...

I will of course be there taking up the front seat of Errionds car, as always.

Would definatly be interested in a WFB event.
I'm going to tell you what I tell every Dark Angels player. Keep your awesome models and your great background, accept that GW secretly hates you and just play with the rules from the new dex

Sounds good.  Should have my Space Machines finished by then.  Good times.  Al, you want me to drive this time? :P
I carry with me an Inquisitorial Seal. It is a small, unassuming object contained in a neat box of Pluvian obsidian. It is a modest thing. Relatively plain, adorned with a single motif and a simple motto. Yet with this little object I can sign the death warrant of an entire world and consign a billion souls to Oblivion.
