Hi this is Anthony from BFG we are hoping to introduce a pre booking system which should mean a lot of the admin for the first two games will have been done before the actually day. Which should give extra time to get games finished.

hi anthony! welcome to 40konline.

i think a pre-book would be a good idea... i think what we can do with that is set a number for participants (so we will have enough table space) and then let people take up the tickets to ensure we get them filled with paying gamers...

so it looks like we are settlign on the 16th August!? or the 23rd - depending upon availability on teh 23rd of course.

No, it will give you about 2 months, it will give me maybe a week. Lame, LAME. Oh well, I can attend in August, I'll just be rubbish. Hey ho, no reason not to attend. Is there to be a pub crawl beforehand? Might give me the chance to improve my chances by getting my stiffest competition hammered....

July 10th release, so at most it gives 5-6 weeks, but still.

My regular opponent at home will be god knows where working for the MOD, so I'm not sure how I'm going to practice...Oink where will you be living at that point? ;)

And you giving your guard another shot?

The 23rd? Yes or no answers please everyone. Once we have decided I will start (or Oink if her gets there first!) a new thread so we can all moan about how much we have to paint.

My Vote is YES

Fine by me.
I carry with me an Inquisitorial Seal. It is a small, unassuming object contained in a neat box of Pluvian obsidian. It is a modest thing. Relatively plain, adorned with a single motif and a simple motto. Yet with this little object I can sign the death warrant of an entire world and consign a billion souls to Oblivion.

Guh... I am going to be beslubbering busy when I get home.

Yeah okay 23rd, since no date which is convenient for me seems to be available. Incidentally does anyone object if I bring a friend? I can vouch for his good behaviour. He's actually signed up to 40KO but his internet rarely works so he doesn't post much

Are we going for the 23rd
I got told the 16 which is the Day we've booked
23 rd is the 4th Saturday and thus no way as it's already booked by another user group on a regular basis

Current events calander for sept(ish) is

Sat 06 Sep 08   Carnage Portsmouth  40K tournament.
Sun 07 Sep 08   Carnage Portsmouth  40K tournament.
Sat 13 Sep 08   Colours 2008 Newbury Racecourse.
Sun 14 Sep 08   Colours 2008 Newbury Racecourse.
Sat 20 Sep 08
Sat 27 Sep 08
Sat 04 Oct 08    Warhammer Grand Tournament Heat One
Sun 05 Oct 08    Warhammer Grand Tournament Heat One

The CLUB can't book anything for the second or fourth Saturday of each Month (Sorry pre booked by another users). Though we have booked the 16th August for a club tourney that we look likemoving to OCT  so we could use this date instead

okay, i think i meant to write late august - that was a bit of a brain fart wasnt it!!!

july i think is too soon...

AS I already said

Gah! Okay, 23rd August was a stretch for me, 16th is a complete no go. I get back from a 3 week summer hiking expedition through Corsica 3 sodding days before that. Are you people trying to kill me?

Yes. Yes we are. And you can bring your friend too.

Guys, completely eliminate the 23rd from your mind as we can't do it.

The 16th August is the new date. Yes or no?

On another note, I really don't care how long we have to practice with 5th edition, you could give me the rulebook two hours before the tournament and I'd be ready to go afterwards. :)
