1500 pt mech tau.

I started tau recently and i want to finalize a mech list so i know what im going to end up buying. C&C welcomed.

Shas'el - 97 pts
Missile pod, Plasma Rifle, Targeting array,  hard-wired multi-tracker.

x2 Crisis suit - 106 pts
Twin linked missile pods, targeting array

x3 Crisis suits - 195 pts
Twin linked plasma rifles, targeting array

Fire warriors - 215
12 firewarriors w/ pulse rifles
Devilfish; burst cannon, gun drones, targeting array, multi tracker

Fire warriors - 195
10 firewarriors w/ pulse rifles
Devilfish; burst cannon, gun drones, targeting array, multi tracker

Fire warriors - 195

x2 Piranha light skimmer - 160
Fusion blasters, targeting array, target lock, decoy launchers.

Stick the third suit into his own elite slot, that way they are easier to hide, devide fire and you can't get ant under 50% morale cheaks. Maybe 2/3 suits could be better in a different config though. For 3 points less per suit you can get the Firestorm config (burst cannon, missile pod, multi-tracker) which is aroundish the same efficiency of the Fireknife against all targets and has better point efficiency.

Try and find the points for decoy launchers to make these things tougher.

Dump the target lock and devide these guys into their own fast attack slots.

Other than those minor things, list looks good.

If you have the points to spare give them target locks.Many times you don't want the main and secondary weapons shooting at the same target.

x2 Piranha light skimmer - 160
Fusion blasters, targeting array, target lock, decoy launchers.

The target locks here serve little purpose IMO,rmove them onto the Hammerheads.

Burn the Sister of Battle.
Kill the Space Marine.
Purge the Grey Knight.
Destroy the Imperium.
Let the Galaxy burn!

Will do!... when i get around to it lol...

Any other suggestions? What tactics would work well with this? Im obviously goign to go with the fish o' fury tactic supported by the hammerheads. I want to take out enemy armour really early so i can use the sub-munition on infanty. Perhaps if i feel liek it i would ignor armour and take out assaulters if they pose more of a threat at the time. The crisis suits are standard light skimmer - tank / heavy mid infantry killers.
