This is genuinely some of the funniest and most depressing amphetamine parrot I've seen in a good while. These people deserve all the views.

June 6 marks the 75th anniversary of D-Day.  This is how CBC is commemorating:

Heritage Minutes: D-Day - YouTube

A powerful reminder that for thousands, they took their last breath on the beaches and along the French coastline; and a powerful reminder that every single one of the people who lost their lives that day left friends and family behind to grieve.

I like the work that he put into the army, but There's no way I could sit through a 30 minute power point presentation of him talking about how much he liked how things turned out lol.

Kudos on the effort the video took though lol.

I do have to admit that I cringed pretty hard at his pronunciation of "Guilles Le Breton."

I skipped quite a bit. The models looked neat, and I miss the Bretonnians, so eh.

I don't speak much French myself, but I can imagine it being annoying when people mispronounce something you know.

What is it that Ren says before "A lightsaber... interesting"?

Either way, that was just perfect!  And the chick behind the Stormtrooper just seals the burn!

The Royal Canadian Airforce is doing what they call "Operation Inspiration."  The Snowbirds, who are the RCAF's display flying team, are flying across the country to do flyovers of residential areas and hospitals.

I took this video standing at the corner by my house, as I'm near the hospital, and I don't think I could have found a better spot!

Many countries are doing it. Utter waste of money, IMO. Especially those countries not bothering to fund their health services in the first place but hey, here's some flight hours.

Way I look at it is that it's a few million from the defence budget when a lot of the military is standing down.  Helping keep up the morale of the people isn't a bad thing.

I like to think Canada is doing a decent job looking after people. So having these flyovers as something to look forward to isn't a bad thing

I'm also skeptical of how feasible it would be to take money from a specific air force program and transfer it to healthcare services, so it's a bit of a false dilemma, imho.

That being said: yes, several countries should very much reconsider their healthcare budgets after this.

If you are a Science Fiction fan I am sure you will find this news 'cool'

Asimov's Foundation trilogy is coming to TV. Have a look at the Trailer.

Personally I don't think the tone of the trailer matches the imagery I have formed in my head when reading the books.
