Thanks guy's! The basics on these are flat black with gloss graphics. Black will be the basic on all foot dudes too. Not to many diamonds on ground troops just basic bright colors. The ones now are purple and green, some others may be grey and red or blue and ah I dunno. But here is the start.

Finally found some time to do some model building and choose the king to work on. I have the rest of my Nighthaunt army built and primed and have begun air brush work on them. Got the king today and HAD to get him built along with his waking minion, just a bit of flavor.

Great job, Dread, the Craven King looks so much cooler when you get some close-ups to him, though he already seemed pretty great before. Cannot wait to see how paint him :). Nighthaunt will likely be my second army, that or Stormcasts, haven't really decided which one yet.

Hey Dread awesome stuff man! I second Looshkin's feedback too, the diamond patterns are killer. Love the scheme too. Are they Veiled Path? Love that Masque... they were the dudes who led Y'riel to the Spear of Twilight... so always had a love of them. Also the AoS model loooks great! Anyway great stuff bud love it!

;D That's funny Magenb, I actually mixed that color up months ago to paint Slimer for my grandson. I originally was gonna use purples and blues but decided on the greens.

Those Nighthaunt are terrific Dread! The colours that you've used are just great and really convey the ethereal look of the army. I think my favourite piece so faris the Lady Olynna. The greens and white work so well together.

Top stuff Dread!

Those Nighthaunt look great Dread! I think you pulled off the insubstantial wraith look quite well. Are you finished with that model or are you going to take the Craven King even further :)?

Looking good! I do think you should paint some of the details on the models, as with just the green/white they lack a certain amount of pop. Especially on the named heros, where you really want them to stand out.

Try this. I added some titanium gold to some. It keeps the ethereal look. I used athonian camoshade over some areas to bring out details.

Much much better.

With just the white and green, they just don't look finished to me. Fantastic base for the ethereal effect, but you need spot colours and details on the models. If you could work in some dark reds onto the models, I think it'd really pop too.

Thanks KS! I just don't see anyway to add red without throwing off my vision. Here's a couple more.

:o, that shade of gold on the details and the anthonian camoshade really make these models shine, Dread(Though they were already very blingy to begin with ;))! I particularly love the light shade of pink you used for the roses, that looks wonderful on Lady Olynder. You and Loosh are kind of inspiring me to paint some wraiths myself, but I already have quite a few models that need paint already, haha :).

Dread your Nighthaunt are amazing!  I really like the eerie green effect you got going here.  Very reminiscent of the Dead Men Of Dunharrow in a way.  Great stuff!  :)

Oh man, those models are look sweet Dread! Really soft touches all round. Almost reminds me of something Ynneadwraith would paint. I love it! The pale pink roses are a KILLER touch man. Just a great detail that really draws the eye in and keeps with the theme. I love it!

Thanks guys. I hope to get more done this weekend. Works been hectic but fulfilling. I hope to get my black coach next week, I can't wait!

Well I went and got it today. To say it's a beautiful model is an understatement. Fits together perfect. Now just the banshees and some more chain rasps and the army will be ready for play.

The model is awesome. The perspective of painting it feels daunting to say the least :)
