My first game of dungeons and dragons, playing with friends. They kept it simple, and lent me 400 gold to spend before the game. I looked through the players handbook, and saw the donkey-cart. I joked, saying it would be cool to have a donkey chariot for my paladin. A minute later I was sitting down, with my paladin riding a scythed, armoured donkey chariot.
First encounter: Four gnolls. Chariot got one kill, rest were dead before I could attack.
Second: Arrow trap. Donkey passes reflx test, paladin knocked unconcious.
Third: Room with slime coated walls, ceiling and floor. Pushed donkey in room to check for traps. I declare it safe, and we all go inside. A portcullis starts to close behind us. The Druid, the Cleric, the Rogue, the Sorceress, and the Donkey pass reflex tests. I fail by a bit and get my foot trapped.
Forth: Encounter a Black dragon and level 11 sorceress. I kill the dragon with smite, and the sorceress throws the druids wyrmling at the cleric, knocking him unconcious. I drive my chariot into the Sorceress. She throws the dragon at the rogue/lycanthope, impaling and trapping him. I get of chariot and go heal and dis-impale the rogue. The donkey kills the sorceress. She lets off a blast of energy as I go to see the donkey, who passes a reflex teast and I am hit instead.
Very, VERY fun game.
