The time has come...

I am going to upgrade the forum and the main site starting tomorrow evening (US-EST).

So...   expect outages as each piece is upgraded. Once the site is back up, some of the additional features may not be available as each gets upgraded in turn.

The site upgrade is planned as follows:
Site down: Announcement on front page noted
  Site upgrade to mambo 4.6.3
  Forum upgrade to SMF 2.0 (note: all "extra" features of the forum will be turned OFF!)
Site will be re-started
Gallery will be disabled
  Gallery upgraded to ICEgallery
Gallery will be re-enabled, images re-added

start re-adding/turning on the forum's extra features.
Implement new site themes


I expect the main outage to take about 4 hours or so.
The gallery, forum mods and site themes may take a little while longer.

Well, better go to GW tomorrow and talk to real people about 40k. Then probably check out the VC Armybook.
