Wow. We have some really good painters here - all your armies are pretty amazing!
@theOutcast - that's a similar color-scheme to what I was thinking of using, good to know that it actually works!
@SentientBee - how did you do that yellow? that's almost exactly the scheme I've been trying to do on my Menoth, but I can't get the colors right, and yours looks incredible.
@Outcast Valkyrie - yay, someone else thought of doing Ice Dragons too! They look fantastic, which is good cause I want to steal that look!
I wasn't going to post my army as I didn't paint it myself. But seeing as Laz is doing it...
I'm really surprised that you don't already have all these pictures up on a website somewhere.
How many of each squad do you have to make up 6,000 points?
Does Scott have a website with more of his works?
Some might disagree. But it's not because we're bitter about not being able to afford our own personal painters. No, not at all.

They were all converted / sculpted from guardians & dire avenger bits as I thought it would be silly to wear robes on a jet bike not to mention suicidal lol. If you've ever seen the commercial where the guy wrecks his convertible becasue the scarf blew into his face you'll see what I'm getting at.
Lazarus.
Here is a Shot of my Siam Hann Fleet,
It is in the works. I will update as it paints itself.
totalling about 7k on flying bases.

I'm not much of a painter.. I just want to play the game, so I don't put too much time and effort into it.
The thing is, it really does enhance the gaming experience when your army is painted up. It doesn't have to be showpiece quality, but putting some basic color on the figures really makes them look more interesting.
Aislinn, I've got nothing on your pics.
It might help to include links to 'em just in case that happens (as a friendly word of advice)

Reepy@ Those dark DA look nice, do you have a closer pics..I do actually, but as you can see, they don't look as good from a closer look. I created two 2000pts armies very very fast (for my free time to handle at least) and I just can't stand playing with one colour models, so I make a very quick paint job just to have them look good from the player point of view, which is not very close :) So the closeups of most of my models don't look very good. But here it is. Enjoy :)
Thx for your replies ! I'm pretty happy on how it turned out for my whole army ! But nothing stops your from showing some of the stuff you just painted then wait for all your army to get painted! I've decided to go with some purple because I just can't paint with red ! :S scottdsp748 I'd like to know how you painted the red on your Fire prism ! Your minis are amazing ! And for the others I want to see even more pictures here ! GO GO GO !

That is some real good painting there my friend. How did you manage to blend the red and the black so well without having brown in between?
Is Scott Bowser a personal friend Laz? Or does he do commissions for anyone?
What sort of prices...?
Am I the only one here that wonders if Scott Bowser = scottdsp748?
He's just being modest, that army looks really nice.
Keep up the posting and welcome to 40kO.
crap man, dont cut your self short! that army looks fantastic!
Beautiful models, Kadaeux. I think that's the first non-GW Alaitoc army I've seen (it is Alaitoc, right?-looks like it)

Nope :D Though I took inspiration from it. (In truth its a Corsair army that originated from Alaitoc. I just removed all the yellow ;))
What you have looks great; but add some close ups please.. hopefully of each individual unit and then some of the characters, etc.

is that female farseer custom?>
These look very very good.
I like the swords. Were did you take them from?
Really nice work there, love the avengers in particular - plus it's obvious you really like basing your models (who doesn't eh?! ;) ) great detail and composition on them IMO
Love the color comp. It all looks good together. Love the back ground pics of the autarch too. LOL Keep up the good work.
I've been playing Eldar for about a year and I've finally finished my first squad (I know its unforgiveable) of guardians minus basing.
Here is how to post you pics in here (for those that are not as computer friendly as others)
1.... You have to have the picture stored (uploaded) onto the internet to begin with, so go to Photobucket (http://photobucket.com/) (as it works in here, and its free) and make an account to store your pictures.
2.... Next you will have to get the web address of your picture and copy it between image code like this (or paste it into the code that appears when you click on the little "Mona-Lisa" icon in the tool bar. Anyway in the end it will look like this (with square brackets instead of {}, OK).
{img}address/address/address{/img}
3.... If you want the picture to be a thumbnail, then you need to get the appropriate thumbnail address and it looks like this. Note where the little th_ part is to go (into the final destination that actually has the picture type at the end of it... and Yes you can just use the picture address itself and add the th_ yourself to make most pictures appear as a thumbnail (with square brackets instead of {}, OK).
{img}address/address/th_address.jpg{/img}
4.... It also really nice to have a thumbnail that enlarges when you click on it... so here is what you do. Add the url code around the image code that you already have. you can type this yourself or use the little "globe" icon in the tool bar, anyway it will look like this when you do it (with square brackets instead of {}, OK).
{url}{img}address/address/th_address.jpg{/img}{/url}
Now take your original image address and assign it to the url by adding a = symbol and the address before you close the initial url brackets; like this (with square brackets instead of {}, OK)
{url=address/address/address}{img}address/address/th_address.jpg{/img}{/url}
Your done...
I know that looks like a lot; but here is what I do... Click on the "globe" and then the "mona-lisa" icons one right after the other... then grab the web address and paste it into the two spots (adding the = sign, and adding the th_ as required)... and your done in about 10 seconds.
Here is what you end up with
{url=http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z251/moc065/40%20K/Necron%20WIPs/Pariah/P2030003.jpg}{img}http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z251/moc065/40%20K/Necron%20WIPs/Pariah/th_P2030003.jpg{/img}{/url}
But yours will have [] brackets instead of {} so that it will appear to others like this.

I do hope that helps those that are less computer friendly than other, and don't think that I am super smart of anything like that.. this is knowledge that was passed on to me by others in 40Kol.
They don't have hobby stores in Tokyo? Alot of department stores may carry matt finish clears in the spray paint section. I've never been there but here in Texas I find mine in hobby stores. I would hope that they would have an equivellent of Hobby Lobby or some hobby place somewhere. That said, your paint job is super clean and the semi-gloss looks great on it. Keep up the great work.
My current 1700 point army:

Even without the highlights on the tanks, thats a very stylish army Orannis. I particularly like the stoic, imposing posture of your Wraithlords, they seem somehow more menacing than my own dynamic one...
Speaking of which, i keep telling myself i should finally get pictures posted of my motly crew... Maybe i'll get a respectable camera come the holidays. Hah, i've been saying that for 3 years now.
Anywho, do you have any more shots of the Farseer? From the group shot, it looks like he has purple on him, and i think it may be a little too prominant a divergance from the rest of the army.
Got my Lynx in the mail the other day and, well, I guess I've gotten real excited about my Eldar again. Here she is...
(https://www.40konline.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi285.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fll62%2FDeathbyDread%2Flynx2.jpg&hash=956b8e5f557731e235d01ca995fc0807db63fa07)
I like the Dire Avengers scheme and the Banshee, the other ones not so much.
And very nice work on the Avatar.
Glad you like the banshee, it is my favorite out of the mix, though the shadow in the pic does not do the reaper justice as I had hoped. *shrug*
I think I Agree about darkening the scorpion, I thought this looked a little bright, but I just ran with it because it was "scorpion green" lol
Other than highlights and maybe some ink work, any specific suggestions on how I can make the Dragon less vomit inducing?

Eldrad when he doesn't feel like dressing as a goth. Or Goff.
That's a topic and question more suited to the Conversion and Modelling board (http://www.40konline.com/index.php?board=20.0), as this is just a showcase thread. Please feel free to start a topic there for advice and suggestions on this issue.
I think the blue gems stand out too much. Plus there's a footy team over here branding the blue and red colours and that's all I see when I look at them. Am also thinking of the whole army. I want the gems on all the units to be the same colour and I don't think blue will go with the brown hawks nor the black and red vehicles.
Yes; I build all my own terrain. Bark on packing foam then sealed it all with putty. Yes; that is a sheet you see. The game had four different armies clashing so the table was 8 by 12 feet. The sheet was the only thing big enough to cover it.
Cheers, pointy ears!
My friend took a picture of this as I was dusting and getting to resume painting once again.
"Haunt's Ghost Army Soldiers" (https://www.dropbox.com/s/1yni9f47c50jjde/wraithguards60a.jpg?dl=0)
He shared it with me and thought of sharing to you all. Part of my Ghost Army.
Great job on those warp spiders, did they take long to get to you?Where I live there's a small retail store that collects orders from local hobbyists and then places a consolidated order with the models' creator. I was lucky to call in right after someone refusing to pick up a sizeable order, so I just went there, paid and got my models instantly.
