Morrowind III
« on: November 16, 2003, 03:13:54 AM »
I've had this game since it came out, and I have read alot of raves, but I've never quite gotten why it was so popular. I never particularly liked it. I do like how massive the world is, and the fact that there are so many quests and places to go is quite cool, but to me, I'd rather do it with some friends, and since (last I checked anyway. I don't own the expansion...s?) there aren't any LAN capabilities, I just have never had much fun with it. This is the kind of game I would really only enjoy with a large group. Sure it was very open ended, but it was open ended to the point where it was little fun to do by yourself. Well, that's what I thought anyway.

What is your reason for liking it, because it is possible there is something I have missed, or just didn't appeal to me so I never payed it attention.

--edit--

I just thought about how cool it would be to play that game multiplayer. Even a group of 3 would be fun as hell. Damn! I hope they get that in eventually.

Definetly. The one problem with Morrowind is it's lack of  online play. Would be truly be the greatest game ever if they ever add this feature..

I enjoyed it. But once you've beaten it, it doesn't have great replay value, as you know how to do everything. It's still fun razing entire cities by yourself though. ;)

Right now I'm a Lvl65 Khajiit Assassin, who is the Master of the Morag Tong, Master of the Thieves Guild, the Neverniarian (or whatever). I'm am basically a god. :D

Its also fun to make crazy spells. Lvl 100 levitation on touch for 20 seconds is fun when it finally runs out and Mr gravity looks at the sewer rat and goes "What the hell?"

I guess because I played EQ, and this game is so similar to EQ, it just wasn't as fun due to the fact it seemed to be more or less the same, but without multiplayer.

Yeah. And Morrowind also doesn't kill people.

It doesn't have that favourite added feature of mine "Continue paying for this game after you have bought it" that most RPG's have but that's because it has no multiplayer...
