Night lords skin
« on: May 14, 2017, 06:39:06 PM »
Just wondering if anyone had a good tutorial for night lords skin. I have been trying to paint it lighter then I usually do but it just does not look right to me. Thought I would get some help.

Cheers

The tutorial in this view is pretty good.

It's actually for a Dark Elf, but the colours used for the skin could suit a Night Lord.  In either case, you should look away from the standard colours for flesh.

Perhaps consider using a violet or pinkish colour as a wash, and then highlighting on top of that.  Being IRish, I know ALL about pale skin.  Pallid flesh has an undertone of pink rather than the light brown of tanned skin.

Its all about Rakarth Flesh. I lay down Celestra Grey just to get a solid base, then put Rakarth Flesh over it. Then a light Reikland Flesh Wash and even  lay down Druchii Violet Wash if you want maximum creep out factor.
