Its been a little while since I posted a pic of my Eldar in here... so here are the Dire Avengers I've been working on:

You can see that I substituted silver where the DA's usually have white.  I did that because White always looks chalky on my figures, and I really like how the silver turned out.  On the far left you can see the extra Exarch torso.  Both torsos have magnets in the bottom of them, with a matching magnet in the legs, allowing me to swap configurations at will.

The models are more or less finished... I'm debating whether or not I'm going to put the "loin cloth" on them or not... also trying to decide which decals I'm going to put on the banners.

Hello all! This is my first post! I have played the game on and off for around 17 years, I'm just getting back into the hobby after a break of a few years (child, work etc!) so just getting my head around the 5th Ed rules!

I've been looking at some of the fantastic Eldar armies in this thread and wanted to share my recently finished Eldar army. Its around 1300pts and I anticipate I will be collecting a fair few more once finances allow!

Instead of flooding this board with images, I'll provide a link to where my Eldar pictures are, I hope this is ok within the forums rules!

http://mywh40k.blogspot.com/

(there are a load of pics on there of my tyranids as well, feel free to ignore them!)

Comments and constructive criticism welcomed!

Thanks

Okay. I'll give away my secrets, lol.

High elf bolt thrower crewman legs
Dragon rider lords torso
Dragon rider lord's helmet with green stuff
High elf silver helm champion sword arm
High elf wizard staff and base decoration - very cool eh.
Lots and lots of green stuff

I just don't paint well!

We passed upon the stairs. He spoke of was and when. Although i wasn't there, he said i was his friend. which came as a surprise

I spoke into his eyes "I thought you died alone, a long long time ago."

He laughed "Oh no, not me, we never lost control, you're face to face, with the man who sold the world"

These are some admittedly dodgy photos of my wave serpent I completed last night.  I took inspiration from the Hokusai print of the Great Wave and threw a few serpents in - makes sense eh?  :D

Anyone have any tips on photographing models?

And here's a WIP wraithlord - all my ulthwe eldar are in a kind of red desert, like a cross between the Australian outback and Mars.

Here's some more from my Ulthwe intervention force.

My vyper, completed about 5 years ago, and then put in a box as I more or less gave up on the hobby, thankfully I was premature  :)

WIP colour scheme for my pathfinders, inspired by the uniforms of my students in a military school I taught in in the middle east.  I may have to change this scheme to suit my new 'red desert' idea

My nearly complete dire avengers squad, all my aspects use dark hues as befits eldar from the craftworld of mourning.

This is just another stand (a shorter one) filed the way that I can glue it to the main stand. Then the tops of both stands were filed flat, a magnet was glued to the main stand and the head of a nail was glued with green stuff to the supporting stand. Underneath the bike I also put two magnets... the model is quit stable that way.
(Makes it sense what I have written?)

After nearly two years I´ve recently picked up the brush again, dusted off my codices and such.

I´d like to thank everyone in this thread for posting their pictures - I've just been staring at them for the last hour and I feel humbled and inspired.

cheers!

Right, I got a friend of mine to take some pics of my army, or rather the part of it that I'm happy with paintingwise... So I thought I'd share. Some of it's been posted here before but you'll just have to live with it ;)

Lots of pics I know...

The beginning of my completley-against-fluff Ulthwe. I've got 20 Avengers that I have yet to take pics of, which I might photograph tomorrow.

The photos didn't come out as well as I hoped:
