here is a pic of the avatar that stoped me from finishing my vow for the november painting challenge. i was quite proud of it considering the only things ive ever painted are chaos and inquisition.

as usual, sorry about the picture quality.

c's and c's welcome.

thanks very much for the positive replies :)

ill get some more pics on here on monday, im off to paris in the morning (should be interesting/expensive) with my gf but should be back by sunday evening so will get some on there then.

i painted it for my sisters bf who is a great painter for someone who only started this year, but was a bit daunted by the avatar, so asked me to indulge in some xenos.

Nice Atatar, I like the "Molten" look you've achieved. The base is a bit Plain; but its still very cool overall.

wow, freehand the avatar rune design on the cloth and it will look nearly identical to the Avatar from the old 2nd ed codex.  It looks great.  Nice work.

Very nice job on this, the blending on his helm looks great all round great job on him

but......

This kinda model deserves to be complete and by that i mean the base, its obvious you have the talent to do it.
To me a good base is just as important and as a well painted mini.

Re-base him and make us jealous of your great centre piece.

Great paint job on the model ;D

But IMHO i don't like it, Because it looks just like the one i've been seeing for ages in White Dwarf and in the Eldar codex.

And the base is not very good infact it's a little poor, You seem to be a great painter and it looks like you have the skill to do a much better base.

Apart from that well done it's an awesome mini.
